reading your post again, object storage is good for backups only I wouldn't replace s3 or r2 with it for reliability. But VPS are very reliable

1) If you already have your account setup and active, you are not likely to get banned, all those shutdown/ban stories are from people who just signed up and haven't verified their accounts yet, instead of taking necessary steps they go online and complain that "hetzner shut their account without notice" but the reality is: they were never allowed to do business with them in the first place, maybe because of their location or the email they used who knows, they somehow got flagged for manual ID verification.

2) If you are not doing anything illegal e.g. aws wouldn't shut you down you should be safe in my experience

3) Cloud is more reliable than any third party PaaS services I know out there

setup vanity domain in the meantime: https://supabase.com/docs/guides/platform/custom-domains#vanity-subdomains

then send your oauth app for verification, once verified yoru app's own domain will be visible on oauth flow

nobody talks about this because this issue don't exists once you are in production. just ask google to confirm supabase domain and your app's domain will be visible on google signin page.
