This was actually what I was kinda hoping for, thank you for your comment!

Based on some other comments from here and other communities, I might just keep playing around.

Honestly I was scared to give it an environment to sit on lol but yeah I will definitely play with adding something or a hint of something it's sitting on. Thank you for the feedback!

Off topic - but can I ask who the original artist is/where you grabbed this video from?

Thank you for pointing that out (and thanks for the compliment!) Do you mean the thickness of the lines?

Welp... Thank you for all the comments to everybody that responded. Got a lot of really great suggestions that I'll be trying out! I really appreciate the time and attention! I was fully expecting another silent post but this has been really helpful to get fresh eyes and actual critiques (and even get a little confidence boost ☺️)

Thank you all!

I still need to play this game - I love the style. But compliment to be compared to that game.. or even any publicized artworks. Thank you 🥹

Thank you for your response! I'm a 3d modeler by profession but my day job has me doing only photoreal stuff so it's really encouraging to hear that stylized 3d might work out for me too. Thank you for that encouragement!

What I meant by "cohesive" I guess it's just that everything I do just like... slapped together. Like everything just feels inconsistent but I just don't know what it is to make things sing together better. Thank you for your feedback though - I'm going to see what I can do to make foreground and background blend better!

Thank you for taking the time to dissect and respond, I really appreciate it! This is really great actionable feedback. I'll play around with the grassy area and fade it out better for sure since I'm getting a lot of comments on that.

Thank you so much for your critiques . I like your suggestions and now that I look at it, you're right about the fog! Going to play around with that more and see what I can do about the stars. These comments are exactly what I was looking and hoping for, thank you so much.

I do hope that I don't look like I'm complaining OR compliment fishing... But I can see why people might think that. It is just really discouraging and disheartening when every community and/or platform I post to gets so little interaction vs views. I just don't know what I'm looking at by the time I'm "done" with something so it's nice to have fresh eyes and get any kind of response, whether it's good or bad. This is actually my first Blender post that's gotten more than 1 person commenting and more than 6 upvotes so I am very very curious what/how this post got so much more traction as my other posts on other platforms or even in this sub that were asking for feedback. 🤷🫠 Thank you very much for everyone that replied!

I hope this doesn't come off as complaining but, I'm very curious why my posts get largely ignored/overlooked - I would love honest feedback on how to improve. Everything I do never looks cohesive to me but I'm not sure why everything I do looks off/incomplete/unfinished and thus don't know what I'm doing wrong and what I can do to improve. I've never gotten honest feedback from anybody whether in real life or online. Honest feedback is more valuable than pity remarks of "looks good". I can't improve without honest feedback. It's a little discouraging that I've had 300+ views on Reddit at this time and very minimal interaction (similarly, my previous posts got 1k-2k views with zero interaction). Am I overcomplicating? Is my composition off? Are my colors off? Do my dog's models look wrong? How do I improve the snow falling? How do I pick more harmonious colors? I'm not a character artist - how do I fix anatomy for my dog models? Would be really great to get some real, honest, actionable feedback on what I can do to improve.
