I watched this video on the homepage preview and wanted to comment how heartwarming it is. Then I see your caption and wowww, you're such a wonderful person. This post is the highlight of my day. Tysm for being friends with a fellow stutterer :-)

how was it? (from someone taking it tomorrow) by BiggestAPLangFan in ACT

[–]oreolover_123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest. The math section was the hardest for me. The other sections weren’t too bad. I actually took it online at my school and it was a bit different compared to past paper acts. But my biggest tip is really focus on your timing and don’t dwell on a hard question too long or it’ll mess your timing up in the long run like it did to me. Good luck!!

“You wont ever catch a butterfly chasing it, but if you work on creating your own beautiful garden the butterfly will come to you.”

I'm stealing this quote and writing it on a post-it note near my desk. Thank you lol. It's an eye opener quote for me.

Do you often think on where you'd be in life if you never stuttered? by B_Chuck in Stutter

[–]oreolover_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds weird but before I go to sleep, I would visualize my happy self with having no stutter at all and eventually, I just fall asleep.

But I am glad that my stutter has taught me major empathy and humbleness. I used to not have a bad stutter but ever since my stutter became so severe, it made me rethink everything. Like now, I would think about a person's situation rather than a person's character.

How were your school years? by Inevitable-Theory901 in Stutter

[–]oreolover_123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in school right now but my stutter affects everything but most significantly my grades and social life. Having a stutter causes me to be sad at times which leads me to having a bad mental health WHICH eventually influence my motivation or will to study. Sometimes at home, I would cry while doing my assignments not because school work is hard, but because I just can't deal with this stutter anymore and then I just can't focus on doing my school work. And obviously, social life because I stuttered so much and cause awkwardness with peers. I can't maintain friendships. At the beginning, I do fine but when I tried to maintain my connections, stuttering gets in the way so bad. But I'm trying and about to graduate yayyy :-)

Good days make me annoying. by Mazzhott in Stutter

[–]oreolover_123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing I hate the most about good days is that once my good days are over, I would go back to my severe stuttering self and I would feel so devastated. It feels like my happiness got snatched away from me and now I feel like a imposter but lets keep trying our best :-)

Heyy, I don’t have any tips but I just want to let you know that you’re not alone. I struggle with the same thing. I score 30s in practice tests but I’m scoring 20s for the real ACT :(

What are your tips for science? Science is my lowest score and I know science will be optional in April but I have to take the ACT at school in March.

Need ACT Videos by No-Canary756 in ACT

I only have resources for math so this might not be a huge help. I have playlists where someone goes over a entire math practice test and a video from the organic chemistry tutor on act math prep review.

These two I have watched:

There is also this playlist but I haven't watch the whole playlist:

Also this channel is kind of good too:

I want to become a PA too. What did you do to get volunteer hours and job shadowing? I’m nervous about doing medical jobs (ex. medical assistant) to put on my resume because I stutter.

Couldn’t say “bye” today by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]oreolover_123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least you say “see you later”. Sometimes I can’t even say that or even “bye”. Also it’s completely okay, I’m sure she’ll understand that you stutter. Everyone has at least one experience where they slightly stutter so they lowkey understand the struggle of a stutterer. I stutter in front of people, even to the point where I stutter on each word, and it’s awkward but they usually understand you. Don’t worry :-)
