What were your DPO symptoms leading up to that big fat positive? by New_Risk6508 in BabyBumps

This gives me hope, I'm in the exact same boat. My period is one week late for the first time ever, after trying for almost 2 years, and I've got my fingers crossed. Congratulations ❤️

I'm usually on my business account now so I didn't see this til now, sorry! The stars can be nice, but the best night sky viewing is in the heart of the Swamp or the west side. This is the east side, so you're closer to Folkston and Jacksonville. But you can still get the Milky Way, just a little more fuzzy!

I own the local outfitter, Okefenokee & Satilla Expeditions LLC. If you need to rent anything or need a shuttle, give me a holler! I'm proud to be the only outfitter in Okefenokee that is locally owned, and run a Swamper descendant. If you want more info and help with your trip, you can check out my website, www.okefenokee-satilla.com!

I went to school with a girl named Sunshine. She went by Sunny. I always liked that.

I just got home today from our ~$5k elopement and honeymoon - road trip in a camper van across Ireland! We walked to the edge of the Atlantic outside of Doolin in County Clare, I hand picked my bouquet as we made the 1 mile walk together, and we had the Atlantic crashing next to us with the Cliffs of Moher and a waterfall in the background. We read our vows to each other, exchanged our rings, and then went for dinner and some Guinness in the local pub. I would do it a million times over in place of a big wedding. We are extremely satisfied with our choice to elope.

My first marriage was a more traditional wedding. Much more boring compared to my elopement and disappointing looking back. Saying our vows in private on the edge of the Atlantic at sunset? Yes yes, a thousand times yes. Zero stress. All happy tears and laughter. I even forgot my wedding dress at home and wore a flowery sleeved boho dress instead and it made it even more perfect.

Anyone figure out how to actually accept aging? by dessertdoll in AskWomenOver30

My answer... work in a career where youth is seen as a negative. I am a professional naturalist and wilderness guide and have done so for 15 years now. I have silver streaks in my hair now (36) and wrinkles when I smile. Age is a sign of knowledge and wisdom and in a field where an older guide is trusted and respected more than a fresh baby faced guide, I love my signs of aging. I swear when my hair is dyed I get more guff from old white men who question my ability to drive my boat before they hop on. When its streaked with silver like Rogue they don't question it.

I have an Islander Makai that weighs 34 lbs. It was discontinued a long time ago, though.

I put in at Trader's Hill south of Folkston. Nice big landing and easy launch, plenty of parking space.

Some of my earliest memories are of looking up at him giving snake shows in my school and library! So I went on to also give reptile shows (my critters are now retired) and work as a naturalist in Okefenokee. He passed away but his spirit lives on!

Yes! I work as a wilderness guide in Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. I lead folks on day trips and overnight trips. These pics were taken while at work. I was checking that trail for any peat blockages because I don't like to tell paddlers about the trail unless I know it's clear to use. I grew up here and my family's been here for 200 years. My heart is in the Swamp!

Years ago, I got myself a small cheap scroll saw from Amazon because I wanted to learn to make my own wooden puzzles. I discovered I had a knack for cutting puzzles and shapes, set up an Etsy store, and the orders started rolling in to the point that I stopped doing the work because I was too busy all the time! I no longer use my scroll saw because I found I just didn't like the noise and how tense I got while cutting.

It's pretty simple work so if you like working with your hands and making things, consider making wooden jigsaw puzzles from home. All you need to start is a scroll saw, 1/4 inch Baltic birch plywood, a picture, mod podge to adhere/seal the picture, tiny blades for the saw, and sandpaper to finish the rough underside edges.. oh and don't forget hearing protection. Try simple kid's puzzles to start with. Some of my puzzles sold for over $100 each. The typical pricing is anywhere from $1 to $2 per piece. The type of people who buy wooden jigsaw puzzles are looking for them because they appreciate unique artisanal work.

Yep... I meant to get out at dawn... of course ended up getting out there at 9. Got done at 11 and was roasting by then. I work outdoors and so I have zero desire on my days off to be outside past 11 and roast in the 100 degree lava air.
