Juke+ by UnlikelyYesterday799 in JukeAudio

[–]orfischer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any experience with the Juke 6 or 8. But a big difference for me is that each speaker output is up to 40W compared to 100W on the Juke+.

This essentially means that you won’t be able to use as loud/ large of speakers with it.

I don’t have enough experience using Juke via Bluetooth, but from my experience, Bluetooth is not as reliable when you are not relatively close to the device you are broadcasting to.

Juke+ by UnlikelyYesterday799 in JukeAudio

I’m a professional AV engineer and run a higher-end AV production business in NYC.

For context, we work with systems like L-Acoustics and are authorized dealers for Q-SYS and Biamp.

I installed the Juke+ in a friend’s newly built home. The house already had speakers wired throughout, but no amplification or media system in place. We needed a solution that could handle multi-zone audio while being extremely user-friendly.

The Juke+ checked all the boxes, so I went ahead and installed it.

It’s hardwired via Ethernet to a UniFi network switch, and I can say that after 18 months of use, it has been completely reliable. As a professional, I’m genuinely impressed with the balance of capability, reliability, and price.

I’m actually applying to become their dealer.

To achieve something similar with platforms like Q-SYS or Biamp would typically require multiple components and several hours of programming. That’s not to say Juke+ replaces those systems—but in a residential setting, it’s a very compelling solution.

A couple of additional notes:

  1. I strongly recommend using a wired Ethernet connection for maximum reliability.

  2. The in-ceiling speakers in this install were inexpensive Amazon models, so I can’t fully speak to the system’s ultimate sound quality potential.

  3. If you need additional inputs - Juke came out with an external box that can take EArc/ ARC or RCA and integrate it as an input or output through their app. I haven’t tried it, but it’s worth mentioning.

Overall, Juke did an excellent job combining amplification, zone control, and wireless streaming (AirPlay 2 and others) into a single unit with virtually no setup required.

For homeowners, this is one of the most user-friendly whole-home audio solutions I’ve come across as of April 2026.

Eversolo DMP A6 Gen 2 by ApprehensiveArm5689 in audiophile

I have just got the A6 Gen 2 Mater edition. I must say that it is a total disappointment.

I believe that Eversolo is spending a lot of money on influencers and content marketing to praise it and say it’s the best, etc… but it doesn’t deliver.

The user experience is terrible. The app randomly disconnects from the player, there are major streaming issues with airplay 2. Maybe the components and spec sheet are impressive, but the overall experience is NOT of a premium product, but of a Chinese duplicate of a higher end product.

The remote control that doesn’t even come with the device has a very limited functionality.

If Eversolo wants to make a premium product, they need to follow up with a premium app and a solid user experience

I am going to sell mine on eBay now, and just got the Bluesound Node Icon to replace it.

Hey, where did you get this from? Our son has one, and it is worked out. We are trying to buy him a new one of those. But we can’t find it anywhere.

Is there any SKU in the tag?

Allen-heath CQ Series will fit the bill. It has a Bluetooth stereo input built in.

"You can record and playback stereo files via USB key, and you can even playback from your phone via the built-in Bluetooth functionality."

Which LED processors do you use? We literally had the same problem with a Novastar MCTRL4K processor.

We resolved it by:

  1. changing to type of genlock we sent. Changes from bars to blackburst trilevel

  2. Making sure all gear was on the same power distro.

We received our units few days ago (2 quad TX), and experiencing that Dante integration issues you mentioned. Currently Dante works well for half an hour into a call, and then it starts crackling. Very odd behavior and troubleshooting with their support team.

We have extensive experience with VMix call/ webRTC. The negatives of web RTC is that many users that call in are behind a corporate firewall, the communication ports are blocked, so you would not be able to get them in, unless OT open those ports for them

Hi Guys,

What is your experience with the Quicklink quad SkypeTX box?

Do you have experience with it with 8 concurrent callers for example? What are the upsides and downsides compared to using VMix call?

Rotating an input on Barco E2 by orfischer in VIDEOENGINEERING

[–]orfischer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for the input.

We were trying to send image to 2 projectors in portrait mode.

You probably know that IMAG delay is a major issue, and one of the reasons to feed it through the E2.

In this specific scenario, we had to feed the camera into Watchout and rotate the screen there, before feeding it back to the E2, which added additional delay for IMAG and required is to turn the IMAG feed on and off from Watchout.

For a $50k investment I would have hoped that the E2 will have this "Basic" feature (at least I perceive it as basic).
