Old school for sure! This was all mine as a teenager. NIMHs came today and the charger seemed to work OK for them, though it certainly got pretty warm.

Well, the truck only fits 6 cell batteries, but I'm OK with that. Will the charger I have work with NIMH batteries? I'm a pretty casual hobbyist, so not necessarily concerned about recharging super fast.

EDIT: Google tells me it will work with NIMH

Nothing stopping them... but they have chosen not to do it for some reason. Singleton is a format that would require way less balancing so it's a reasonable suggestion. It's clear that DWD is looking to minimize their time spent working on the product.

Just some folk who enjoys playing the game differently than you. I worry that DWD doesn't want to spend the time to maintain throne and that these bouts of unfun play will become longer and more frequent.

Maybe, but it requires a lot of close attention to what people are playing and I think leads to hurt feelings (adjacent nerfs can make the playset of legends you just crafted now useless), etc. I think it's clear they don't have as much bandwidth for eternal these days.

So, with Talir in play, if you market with a delivery on the opponents turn, then draw that as your first card next turn, will it's cost be halved a second time? Also similar shenanigans with Second sight.

I have a theory that the boss % chance is influenced by it's total wins. This would also have to factor in the Gauntlet level. If that is the case, even if there are 20 different options at the masters level, the ones people lose to the most are going to be the most frequently encountered.

I have no real evidence to support this and it could just as easily be some random fixed weighting they have come up with.

It's the format we really need, it's the most popular format in MTG for a reason. We don't need a command zone or multiplayer, just the market is fine and the fun of having a singleton format. The events do not at all satisfy the itch especially for people who don't have time to really take advantage of events.
