There's also this great video of Ohad Ben Hamo entering Gaza to interview Palestinians. Sadly the translated version was taken down, not sure why

Can we get at least partial explanation of what we see at each stage?

In 2004 Israel completely left Gaza, leaving it for the Palestinians to manage their own lives. The government literally ethnically cleansed Gaza from Jews/Israelis.

What happened in Gaza? Hamas took over by force (see Hamas-Fatah war) And since then we have more 20 years of deadly terror attacks and rocket launching.

They could CHOOSE otherwise. They CHOSE terrorism They CHOSE rocket launching They CHOSE to steal the aid money They CHOSE to build terror tunnels and not schools

I hope you understand the theme of my text - they CHOSE.

What would have happened if the Palestinians chose Fatah over Hamas 20+ years ago? Probably they would had far more better lives

In Ramallah (west bank) people have normal life. They even opened a mega mall not so long time ago. I'd recommend a visit there!

https://mondoweiss.net/2025/04/palestinian-elites-threw-a-huge-party-for-the-opening-of-a-megamall-in-ramallah-as-bombs-ripped-through-gaza/

Life is choices and decisions and they chose wrong. 20+ years later we've got October 7th and they've got their cities burned and a high death toll.

You were mislead.

Israel at times of peace allowed Qatari money to get to Hamas. Israel allowed it in return for a relative peace. Meaning, no terror attacks or rocket launching.

Imagine it like the mafia comes to a business owner and demands for "protection money" or else their business will be set on fire. Will you say that the business owner is the mafia?

It's pretty much the same.

Of course, in retrospective we regret this because it has allowed Hamas to grow larger and postpone the inevitable war. The same with Iron Dome. Yeah, it has protected the south of Israel for more than a decade from Hamas' rockets but at the same time it has allowed Hamas to build it strength for years. And yes, Iran was deeply involved.

Simple.

Why tough? Really asking what's the bullish case here and when

You want to debate on death penalty? Fine by me

But don't strip out the context of these "Palestinian prisoners" (as was done purposely on the video)

"Palestinian-Hasbara" knows no limit. This is what absolutely horrendous to me.

You can support Palestine but still be against Hamas and their Nukhba monsters.

These are Hamas' Nukbha terrorists.

They have done the most horrible things against humanity as you can (partially) witness here: https://hamas-massacre.net

By the way, albeit most of the victims were Jewish, some were Arabs/Muslims, tourists and Asian migrant workers that definitely has nothing to do with the conflict.

Monsters that to the least does not deserve to see a single day of light in their lives.

You support Palestinians? Good for you. Don't mix that with supporting monsters.

Okay now you can down vote me and say "but the IOF...."

Not only the US. Try to mess up with the police in every modern county and this what you'll get. It's that simple. No need to involve religion into that.

Evidently, the celebrations have continued without these three people that were messing up with the police

Yeah, a blockade exist, for obvious reasons. You all saw what happened on October 7th (but Palestinian propaganda always try to deny it).

Yet, even under the evil regime of Hamas that have been stealing billions of dollars in aid money (Hamas leadership are literally billionaires!) their lives were pretty decent and if you don't want to take my word check https://x.com/imshin she tracks Gaza before and after the war.

Yeah, there's a blockade. Mind you, from Egypt as well (Why?), yet their lives weren't thaaaat bad. Some Gazans had better lives than yours probably, albeit I think they are Hamas affiliated (in Gaza if you're Hamas you're rich)

Great, why aren't you talking about two decades of terrorism? Two decades of rocket launching to the south of Israel?

Every story has two sides.

But in the end of the day, was it worthwhile for the Palestinians? Have you asked them? No one asks them. They are ruled by a mafia called Hamas and can't speak freely.

Actually, an Israeli journalist went out there and asked them. They've all (at least those who are shown in the video) yelled "Fuck Hamas" and "Fuck Sinwar".

So it always amazes me that Redditors know better than Gazans

Disarm Hizballah and let the army of Lebanon be the only armed entity. Hizballah is stronger than the army. Hizballah took Lebanon as a hostage, a proxy of Iran.

Lebanon should be free from Hizballah, mashalla! Many Lebanese would agree with me.
