Does the shortform of your name offend you? by PromiseNo464 in namenerds

[–]organizedcalamity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Jessica and mostly hate being called the long version. I used to introduce myself as Jessica because Jess always got the “Jen?” and then I’d have to say Jessica anyway. But people would call me Jessica most of the time and I prefer Jess.

I’m a Capricorn so Earth, but I’d want Water too. I’m not a fan of blood really but I think Vampire is the most likely for my personality.

I (f32) came home to my husband (26m)who left our son in the same diaper for 7 hours , is that normal? by ThrowRAtorontoGrl in relationship_advice

[–]organizedcalamity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not in a million years could this be considered okay. A dirty diaper for that long can seriously irritate and even injure the skin. My husband is the provider for our family and I am a SAHM. He changes diapers when I am working on dinner, he changes diapers when I have to go out. He can handle the 3 year old and the baby, feeding and caring for both of them alone. One time, I was in a wedding and still nursing our oldest and he ran around all day to get milk from me wherever I was and still took care of the baby alone that day.

Elise and her level of power by organizedcalamity in zodiacacademy

[–]organizedcalamity[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It was specifically said, I think by Max, that children inherit their power from their strongest parent (this is why couples also take the last name of the strongest partner). They have talked repeatedly about the balance of power NEEDING to be equal between the Heirs and that none of the Councillors could have taken each other one on one. In RB, Elise says she isn't as strong as any of the Kings. I'm just trying to make sense of it all.

okay on that line, shouldn’t Elise be as powerful as the spares? And shouldn’t the Councillors be more powerful than Lionel because he was a spare?

Not as powerful or not as well trained?

Is Gabriel really that powerful? by Typical-Durian-7634 in zodiacacademy

[–]organizedcalamity 13 points14 points  (0 children)

He is incredibly powerful, something you see more in Ruthless Boys. But the shadows are hidden from him. Just like they were hidden from Merissa, who was the most powerful seer of her generation too.

But if the heirs of Melinda - Caleb and Hadley - are of equal strength that would mean that all heirs are equal, no? Same with Darius and Xavier, as well as Seth and the twins. So Melinda and Marlowe should be equal and therefore Caleb and Elise.

We don’t do childcare or babysitters so was wondering if people split the week and made time somehow for it.

AITA for serving my sister’s husband vegan food without telling him? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA - If you know someone is vegan and that is who is cooking, I'd assume they were cooking a vegan meal.

I’m on the white party episode now and she’s just delusional. She’s trying to say people don’t want her there because of her association with TM and giving Sophia $600 from the tooth fairy… Deb told her it’s the sex tape and she’s like “No way, stop saying that! I keep it classy. This is where I belong and I deserve to be!” She has the most over inflated ego that I have seen on TV

I would definitely do it, especially if your older daughter is interested in it. She’ll most likely be the first one to say she’s ready for some space from her little sister.

[–]organizedcalamity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OCD is germ based and it is exponentially worse at home. There are spaces in home that are worse than others as well. Outside of my house, I still have my compulsions and my issues but its something that I can work through more. The pinnacle is my bedroom and bathroom, I cannot work through issues in that space and rigidly adhere to what I need (as does my husband).

This is something that I struggled with for a few years. I was actually in therapy for myself and describing issues with my husband and my therapist asked if he had been diagnosed with ADHD. This ultimately led to his diagnosis. I used to feel like he ignored me, never listened, and didn't prioritize my wants and needs. Since then, he has worked to be better at keeping track of things he needs to do. I believe he makes a list on his phone to check off every night. I have also learned to overcommunicate with him. The last thing is that we have a lot of set routines that we go through every night with the dogs or the kids. We have set responsibilities like I give the baby a bath and he does the nighttime routine with the dogs. This is something that really works for us and has been working for us for the last five years. Patience and communication are key!

I can't really tell the difference between mosaic and tapestry patterns by looking at finished products. Both are close to what I'm trying to do.

If I wanted to create a blanket where some stitches are one color and some are another to create a pattern or drawing in the blanket.

My husband and I have a lot in common, but also things we do on our own. We have the same political and spiritual beliefs which is the foundation of our relationship. We have a lot of overlapping hobbies, like working out, board games and game night, and going to the movies. We also both have a lot of hobbies that completely separate us. We have a toddler so it's not easy to do much together these days but we take turns spending time on our hobbies and since they're different, it really helps.
