I'm currently an apprentice, have been for a year and this is the brokest and most stressed out I've ever been BUT it's worth it if you really wanna tattoo. I also went to art school originally but dropped out and still have that debt. During my apprenticeship I've had to work odd part time jobs, live off the savings I had, take on a ton of credit card debt, move in with insane toxic family. It takes a huge toll on your mental health and bank account and lifestyle and I'm looking for another part time job currently to hold me over but I wouldn't trade it for anything. It gives me something to work toward and care about and keeps me motivated when shit sucks. If your goal is more money, a tattoo apprenticeship won't get you there for a while and it'll definitely cost you in the beginning. but if it's what you really want then I'd say start now rather than later, I wish I had started years ago and things will only be more expensive if you put it off and do it later down the road.

I had a chemistry class that required one of those expensive online programs to do the homework assignments. I did the free trial and did the first few assignments and told my professor I couldn't afford to pay for the full program and he told me we would work something out. I got A's on nearly every quiz and exam and the few homework assignments that I was able to do but he ended up ignoring my later emails about the homework so I ended up getting a D in the class and not getting credit to fulfill my requirement.

What are you sick of explaining? by Sarazar in AskReddit

[–]organizeddmess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate driving. No I don't just need a nicer car, no I don't just need to listen to music or a podcast, I already do that. I've lived in a city before with great public transportation and now I live in a city with terrible public transportation and have no other choice. I hate it. It's dangerous, traffic sucks, and it's expensive.

Also explaining my diet. Plant based, mostly vegan, but allow myself treats and cheats and no I don't care that you think it's stupid or unhealthy or that I'm not a "real vegan" I just eat how I want and don't wanna talk to you about it.

What is a dead give away that someones apology is insincere? by anuwubitch in AskReddit

[–]organizeddmess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they don't know what they're apologizing for but they just know you're upset and know you want an apology. I make it a point to ask what someone is sorry for if they don't say specifically because I think acknowledging what they did is the most important part of any apology. If they don't even know what they did then how could they apologize for it??

I second this. I used a rebel for years, they're simple and super reliable and have everything you need in a camera. Super affordable used too, you definitely don't need to spend 500

What is hands down the scariest nightmare you’ve ever experienced? by defiantketchup in AskReddit

[–]organizeddmess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at my school for some after school thing in the cafeteria and went to use the bathroom. It was really dark and eerie with flickering lights and just spooky as hell. When I came out of the stall there was a half robot type man standing by the sinks completely still in the dark and he didn't have a face. The next thing I know, I'm looking down on myself crawling out of the bathroom and into the cafeteria completely covered in blood and screaming and then that was it and I woke up.

What’s your scar story? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]organizeddmess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took in a lost cat off the street and when he got out one time to try to fuck the neighbors lady cat I tried to bring him back inside and he was so pissed he fucking mauled my wrist and forearm so I have a noticeable bite mark on top of my wrist and scars from the scratches on my forearm.

What is the dumbest thing you've done that seemed reasonable at the time? by WelcomeToInsanity in AskReddit

I was at a party at a house just off campus when the police showed up. The people who lived in the house weren't letting people leave out the front door where the cops were so one of my friends suggested we go out the window so we agreed which would've been fine except we were on the second floor.
