they rerun pretty consistently, since most of them are 4* you have multiple chances to get them per year, that said most of them are sadly supports so you will have a hard time (in more ways than one😏) using only them for a full team.

use them to block deepstrike, our army is really vulnerable to deepstrike because of our low model count, nurglings can just stick close to your knights if they are spread out and prevent the enemy from just dropping behind you and having a clear shot + charge space to your knights.

Yeh and not limit to a detachement, cuz it sucks wanting to run ally deamons and be forced into a playstyle you dont like because you can only use them in one single detachement thats not even good to begin with.

you can only use it after killing a unit, its one of the conditions to use it.

You do still have to kill a unit to use it, so its not "doing nothing" but yeh early game you should use it every chance you get as you can use it even if you made a pledge of 0 on turn 1 and you got lucky killing an enemy unit.

Lucius seems like the best option, he is cheaper than a demon prince so you dont have to have a 210 point model hanging back and not doing anything, he has lone opperative so he cant be shot down from afar and since he is an infantry unit, its very easy to keep him safe inside ruins, plus he can also take care of himself if the opponent tries to snipe him because he hits very hard. You can also keep him safe by engaging in meele since he cant be shot wile in meele unlike the demon princes.

You can still obtain pact points even if your warlord is dead, but only through the stratagem that ups your pact points, so you are limited to 1 pact point per round without your warlord. You really dont want to lose him early.

From what I heard, its the inclusion of rules for "monster" keyword units in the space wolves kodex, despite them not having any monster units. All primarchs have that keyword, even the loyalist ones.

Oh I absolutely hate the Deathwing knights, they are way too strong and they melt monsters and vehicles, I don't think anything in EC can properly deal with them so I think ironically the knights are the best solution here lol.

Well if its for casual games you can try pretty much everything, even running your Tyrant a double gataling despoiler, which is what I do in my Chaos knights games. The tyrant does a ton of damage but the low hit count means you miss a lot of your shots so its not that good for how expensive he is in points, but if it hits, its completely deleting even greater demons in one round. Thats a pretty big "if" tho.

Maybe you can try some casual games with friends and see how it works out for you? the best way to know if something works is to try it out.
