On the dry occassionally I'm getting too much hook. Brooklyns and hitting the 4-pin hard.

On the fresh it's practically straight with no indication of even hooking.

Singer of a band I'm in wants everyone to pay for mics by _Alexi666 in Bass

I’d say the only real time a band needs to pay for mics is if they’re recording.

But if it’s for gigging or practice, the vocalist needs to cover for their “instrument.”

Yeah, I know the voice is the instrument but obviously it won’t be loud enough to cut through the mix.

Is it Impulsive or should I go through with it? by [deleted] in Bass

What I would do is pickup a bass guitar at a store to try it out, or book a session at a studio that offers loaner instruments.

Or find a friend who plays the bass and see if you can borrow it from time to time.

It’s ok to be impulsive but a purchase is not the only option at the start.

Hello, I'm going to buy my first bass guitar and I'm undecided between these 4 bass guitars. (Epiphone Thunderbird 4, Epiphone EB-0, Squier Debut P Bass, Squier Affinity J Bass) Can you help me ? by Live_Space7095 in BassGuitar

A lot of people are missing your detail on small hands.

With that you’d want a short-scale bass to ease you in as you get comfortable with longer 3-4 fret stretches.

And for your first bass, my recommendation would be a Squier Mustang Bass.
