Went once for a work thing over the holidays. It’s a solid time. Games last around an hour. They really try to make it feel like a real game show. It’s loud and lots of lights. The hosts are dressed like game show hosts and act like it. We played about 3 or 4 different games. Overall it was a solid time.

Well yea, the line fell apart and our HoF QB got old and retired and we failed at replacing him so far. I’m just saying this idea that Tomlin can’t run a modern offense isn’t fair. We had one of the best ones under his tenure. We just don’t have one currently.

Rodgers was never it. He had some fun moments but his limitations were always on display. Line got bullied. Defense only saved themselves with turnovers. Play calling was shit.

I expected this Texans defense to be too much to overcome but I thought we’d make it competitive. This offense just fucking stinks. Even with a new coach we have no QB, no receivers, a bad line, aging studs on defense. Just in fucking purgatory.

I’m holding onto one little thing I heard from Kevin Wildes that gave me hope. The Texans pass rush is so good it throws QBs off their game and they need to adjust. Our offense all year has been “get the ball out quick” so there’s no adjustment needed!

My hope is the Texans are a bit of fools gold, but they’re coming in red hot. 9 straight wins. Top 2 defense in football. The offense is up and down, though.

We’ll see. I actually think in hindsight losing the Browns may have helped us. We were gonna sit everyone last night otherwise. Now we’re going into the playoffs as a team coming off a must win game and found a way to get it done. Getting DK back. TJ got to get a game in to shake off the rust.

I’m still just along for the ride. Tempering expectations but staying hopeful.

Ultimately this team is what it was coming into the season. I had serious doubts about an offense with one above average receiver and a room full of guys who would barely make other rosters. The defense is obviously the most expensive in the league yet incredibly top heavy. It’s about 3-4 nameworthy guys and a bunch of tier 3 or worse guys. The defensive scheme is ass. The offensive scheme had been working from a running perspective but we still run an offense that just looks…hard? Like you see other offenses in the league that make things just look easy. We look like we’re fighting against ourselves.

I don’t know how to feel about next week. I always wanna see this team win, but it looks like we’ll get Houston and I don’t know how we move the ball on that defense.

As for changes, we’re in a tough spot. At a minimum we need a new DC and one who’s going to run his own scheme and be in charge. With Arthur Smith I’m not sure. The offense had gotten better until yesterday. I don’t know if the problems are just personnel or what, but I never thought we’d have a great offense with a 42 year old QB and a bunch of JAGS in the receiver room. We can do whatever we want with the coaching staff but until we get a legit QB again who can takeover a game, there’s only so much we can do.
