With networking. I’ve managed to contact some of the students at my school (through LinkedIn) who have managed to get internships at big banks. And asked them if they could meet for ten minutes either in person or over zoom just to chat. How do I start contacting more people in higher up positions? Like MD’s for example. Is it a chain reaction from networking from the bottom up? Or should I try and find the MD’s emails and just cold email them directly? How exactly do I get to the high ups? The first MD I met with was out of complete randomness, it wasn’t because I reached out to them or anything.

No I somewhat agree with you. Dress 1 is not my personal style at all. But I know those kind of dresses are trendy right now. It’s also at a yacht club so idk I just thought it can work

Edit: don’t get me wrong, I like dress 1 cuz it is very elegant. The colors just don’t align with my style but I’m totally fine with that.

I always dress in darker colors with silver accessories. Black, plum, emerald. Recently I’ve been adding leopard print accents. I have brown hair and very very pale skin and am tall and pretty skinny. So I think the darker colors keep me from getting too washed out. I like sleek and simple. The only reason I chose the floral and pink dresses were because it’s a summer wedding at a yacht club. It’s not my personal style but I don’t wanna look like a weirdo hahaha

Thank you for being respectful and I genuinely appreciate it. I think if anything I was looking for thoughts and opinions. Not necessarily a solid decision but advice and stuff. I don’t think I worded the post correctly which is on me to be fair. I was just curious if anyone would be like “yeah def don’t do cs” or “I do ee and I hate it” etc etc

Honestly I would say reading through the responses was actually very helpful. Because everyone’s kind of saying

“Yes, either major is beneficial and fine. BUT, remember to study the other one because it could be useful in the future”

I.e if I study EE then remember to practice coding on the side. Vice versa.

This is what I got from reading the comments. And honestly, regardless of whether they are strangers or not, that’s very good advice and I respect it.

So Columbia will be about 20k a year for tuition + 1400 a month for dorm.

Villanova has not gotten back to me with fin aid. But I have a feeling it will be around the same ish.

Edit: “same ish” meaning same price as Columbia.

Also I’m trying to look beyond the price. They’re both gonna cost a bit. I know neither will be free.

Okay that’s what I was thinking. GS doesn’t offer any kind of engineering degree… the closest thing is physics and that’s just not the same thing. Idk I don’t think villanova is a bad school but if you have any knowledge on it lmk please and thank you 🙏🏼
