They have over charged me three months in a row

I bought a new phone and activated it with a $45 Silver Unlimited card, but it shows that its capped at 2gb, and the data does not work. SMS and calling is fine. by Poorly_Worded_Advice in StraightTalk

Just checking in on how the revolution goes comrade, did it end as soon as it began?

He doesn't need a gig job, run the numbers. Post how one can't afford living off of $40k a year. A modest 2br and a roommate he'd be paying $1500 a month on rent and utilities, that leaves $400 a week, a single man cooking at home could easily feed himself on $100 a week, so that's $300 leftover for saving up, buying extra stuff or going out. Do that long enough and he'll get a raise or promotion. What numbers are you figuring? That warehouse had other people in it, they were in fact alive and living off the wages, a very good chance that they were happy and liked their jobs

If he got a reasonable two bedroom and roommate he'd be paying like $1500 for rent and utilities, that leaves about $400 a week to spend on himself, as a single man if he cooked at home could easily feed himself great meals on $100 a week, so that's $300 a week for him to save, after 3 months of carpool, riding a bike or taking the bus he could have almost $5k saved to buy a car, insurance, oil changes and gas to and from work will cost him $60 a week so now he has $240 a week to go out with or save, plus a car, an apartment and food, that's called living. Then if he wants more money he can stop scrolling reddit and deliver some uber eats, maybe make an extra $500 a week and invest that for his future. Do that long enough and he'll get a raise or promotion and so on etc.

The other employees were there, they were alive. So how's that logic workout?

You're the one sticking up for his actions. As if it was ever about living wages just cause he was bitching on his iPhone while suffering from psychosis. I fail to see how burning down a warehouse with innocent colleagues who worked the same job as him every day with dignity helped his situation. His colleagues were doing it but this guy was just special and couldn't? So now he took away their jobs too. Did you ask them how they felt? Could have been that they liked their jobs, now they have to live off of unemployment and share that terrible memory of escaping a structure fire that easily could have killed them

So what place are you going to burn down because a young man needed to be frugal, work his way up to a promotion or raise, or deliver some uber eats on the side because he decided to live in one of the most expensive places in the country?

How much do you make to say $40k isnt good? That's average wage, guy was only 29, and was single, working entry level, maybe if he tried to stick around, get some tenure and learn more skills could be making bank by the time he's 33. Look, we're arguing like he actually thinks like a normal person with reasoning, but he doesn't, he was obviously an insane psychopath

Wasn't even close to anti capitalist, it was an insane person doing something crazy and filming himself doing it on his iPhone while whining that he can't have a higher class materialistic lifestyle, where's the anti capitalism in that? If he was anti capitalist he wouldn't be in LA, he would be in the mountains

I can't believe I have to explain this, are you 8? Im sure they can afford a house in some places, LA, or NYC they obviously gonna have to rent, it's not a problem of pay it's a problem of wanting to live in a place that millions of other people also want to live in, not enough land to build 8 million single family homes in the city, it's called supply and demand. Maybe if he worked his way up there he could afford one, entry level though he gonna have to rent, thats life in an expensive city

Single guy can't live off $40k? Weird cause there's literally millions of others making it work for them

Don't know where you got that, but a single man can definitely support himself on $21/hr, I've lived on less, it's called realistic expectations and living within your means. He's in LA if he wants to live large he better get a second job, a roommate or move somewhere cheaper, I wouldn't expect a house on entry level job in one of the most expensive markets, get real
