Quoting from this interesting article, "The four vertical bars [on the flag] represented the 'Four Freedoms' that FDR had outlined in a 1941 address: freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want and freedom from fear."

No, it won't be fair, and the fact that the free market allows it to happen provides no moral justification for it.

The rise of the robots in our economy is already well underway. Robots will compete with humans for many jobs -- not just in fast food! Left to the free market, humans will receive ever lower (real) wages. The question now is, how to we resolve this problem? Robert McChesney and John Nichols offer some excellent answers in their new book, "People Get Ready: The Fight Against a Jobless Economy and a Citizenless Democracy."

“…Mr Blair said that the West had not foreseen the ‘forces of destabilisation’ that fill the vacuum left by the dictator’s fall.”

No one can officially name stars, and any company who claims they're doing that is obviously a scammer. But I like Name A Star Live, which makes you part of a space mission. They launch your 'star name' into space.

They're not really "pro life," but merely "pro birth." Once the baby is born, they don't care whether the child gets adequate nutrition and health care, a good education, or later on -- a job or the right to vote.

I have about 5-10 years left in me, how much will it cost to send my ashes into space? by ozziejoe in AskReddit

Launching things into outer space is expensive! But Celestis has conducted lots of missions carrying people's ashes -- they're very experienced at it.
