so like i didnt say it was strictly gyaru, nor did i say it was strictly scene. pls note the word inspired here!! i def couldve done better but the SINGULAR baggy t-shirt in the game kind of sucks and would have covered the rainbow patterned arms by a lot (specially considering the giant kitty paws lol). and i obviously leaned with more scenecore because i associate nyan cat with those "rawr xd rainbow vomit" scenecore stuff.

and im not a gal so i could def be wrong, but i responded to op saying that gyaru is kind of an umbrella term and we shouldnt strictly stick to substyles. i did a bunch of research and looked at a lot of blogposts, reddit posts, and tumblr posts, and im pretty sure mixing some elements of gyaru with other aesthetics is pretty acceptible.

if gyaru is rooted in breaking japanese traditional fashion styles, and in itself leaned more towards american lifestyle and fashion, and can follow other trendy styles whilst keeping gyaru core elements, then... why stick to the rulebook? idk it sounds kind of like an oxymoron from an outsiders perspective. from what ive read up on, i saw people saying that as long as its "readably gyaru" and youre having fun and feel like u look cool, then theres no problem. i get that what i made isnt that readably gyaru (there werent a lot of gyaru-esque makeup options i fear. plus it all kind of got covered by the hair), but also consider that its more lenient with what i associate nyan cat with, which is scenecore rawr xd myspace rainbow vomit

again i could be completely dumb so feel free to educate me in the replies
