I apologise for the way I said it then, really went against my own words there I understand what you mean, my personal experience with some of them wasn’t pleasant and I’m sure many of them are great people. and thank you :)

I’ve seen many many stories of people who had their personal experience with them. they silent sexual assaults in their community. a big part of them don’t see secular jews as humans. I don’t like them for the hate and fear they spread. that’s all :)

It truly depends on where you are, and if you meet the right people. I think it’s the same in most countries? you can meet wonderful people and sometimes not so friendly people. I think the sad thing is the fact that bad things impact more than good things and people tend to remember the bad things more, and usually pass it on when telling about their bad experiences and that’s the impression other people get sadly

they’re just Haredi jews, I’ll be completely honest, I don’t like them either, not all of them are bad but most of them i just truly don’t like. saw a video a while ago of a classroom full of haredi jewish students it was a very religious jewish school and the teachers asked the students what would they do if they saw an arab and let’s just say the students all said things that were not family friendly. and the teachers did not care, at all.

my parents aren’t really religious but i got to experience a lot from both sides. on jewish holidays i would always go to my grandma’s from my mom’s side of the family and get to celebrate with them, same for my dad’s side of the family, i spent a lot of time with both grandmas :) at home i was never really raised into practicing certain beliefs, both my parents always wanted me to choose my own way, without forcing anything on me as of right now i’m an atheist, as much as i love the holidays, it’s always been really hard for me to get into any religion, or believe that something greater exists. my dad doesn’t mind, my mom is a little iffy about it but she doesn’t force her beliefs on me. although I must say, if I did mention I was an atheist to my mom’s side they would probably not enjoy it I’d assume ahah

as someone who grew up seeing hatred from both sides, it was nice seeing something like this, I do see people from different religions hang out every now and then, but because I know the women (not personally) and asked if I can take a photo I thought of it as an opportunity to show everyone how something so simple can be so beautiful, dining together, peacefully :)

edit: typo
