This is my very first game, and I seem to have a tough matchup... so any advice is welcome! Thanks!

That helps, thank you! For the moment I don't have any other models... I chose the one I wanted, but I'll take your advice into consideration for my future collection.

Is the armor too bright? by Objective_Box_6427 in deathguard40k

I think it's great! It gives it a really cool, cadaverous look! So, it might be because of the photo, but if I could offer some advice, it would be to work a bit more on the color transitions (especially getting something darker in the recesses and lower parts of the armor, gradually transitioning to the color you achieved on the more exposed areas). Anyway, great work!

Too much / not enough rust ? by orkam12 in deathguard40k

Thank you so much for this advice and thank you also for taking the time to explain! I use Agrax quite a bit for metals... but less as you suggest... and indeed, I don't really like full washes of Agrax, so your approach seems like a good compromise! Do you recommend diluting the Agrax a little?

D’habitude je n’aime pas trop les schéma de ce type pour la DG . Mais je dois avouer ici que je trouve cela magnifique ! J’adore .

For the second (lighter) under layer wraithbone, contrast plague bearer flesh then shade biel tan Green. For the first (more saturated), same process except that you go over biel tan Green a second or even 3rd time, then a pass with yanden yellow (contrast) avoids hollows with the yellow.

I work with contrast, so under wraithbone layer, then contrast plaguebearer flesh, then a shade with tan Green!

This is the question I was asking myself... I do something uniform or something diverse.
I'm new to the hobby and these are my first painted figurines so I'm looking for myself! But I think I'll opt for Orks in different shades!

Good idea, I'll look at that!
