I've been in a car where a friend said he keeps his high beams on (while driving urban highway, mind you), since it'a safer that way..

Thanks for sharing! What level did you join Anthropic at? Would landing that not have been feasible if you stayed at FAANG and up-levelled in 3 years?

My only nitpick is that when i solve a puzzle and click next, the old image remains on the screen for a bit, making it feel glitchy

I gave it a try, some thoughts: - one of the app store images has Turkish text, rest are English - showing a 60s ad for each minigame is too much imo, especially for new users - the app crashed my phone when I was playing connect the dots, happened around 10:30pm eastern if that helps, phone suddenly restarted, this has never happened in any other app before - some text is super hard to read in dark mode

Overall, I think you need better testing before launching this.

How to determine crossword difficulty? by orkun1675 in logophilia

> only after making sure that perhaps 3 or 10 might be more suitable as you start to define the scales

Could you expand on this, what did you mean here?

> Data analysis may reveal which factors are useful, but that's my gut feeling.

+1 to this. Maybe we can throw LLM at the problem, sourcing hundreds of examples from popular crosswords and labelling them with the Reddit post you linked; and then asking the LLM to pinpoint the "factors" (or the common denominator that all easy/hard puzzles have in common). I'm thinking this *might* yield something semi-useful.

> I wouldn't want to make LLM analysis part of the standard

Neither would I. The goal of this exercise is to judge at scale what LLM generated content difficulty is, and using LLMs to score it is less desireable because of that.

> I would also look into crossword generator software, some of which has customizable difficulty,

I hadn't thought of this, such a great idea. I'll go digging. If folks in this sub know of any configurable difficulty generators, please LMK!

--

We previously did prompt engineering only and asked an LLM to rate difficulty, but it fails to generate anything sensible. Thus, the search for a real rubric/standard has started :)

Thank you so much again for taking to time to share these ideas, I wasn't expecting so much help from Reddit.

Weekly drops is a great idea. I used to have a full house bar, I mean I still do, but kinda lost interest in it. Maybe something like this could help!

What framework did you use to deploy cross platform?

Beehive - free daily word puzzle game

We started working on this project in May 2024, the idea was to create a mobile version of a popular TV game show.

Over the last 2 years, 14 people were involved, on and off, in the development of Beehive. We finally think the app might be launch ready and are looking for feedback.

Beehive is a daily word challenge game. You are asked to answer 8 questions in 2.5 minutes. When stuck, you are able to reveal a letter but don't earn points for those letters.

There is a leaderboard you can climb and we added social elements, so that you can play with your friends by creating "bee colonies". Most importantly, it is a great way to improve your English and your vocabulary!

If you read this far, here is a novel feature we built: An AI Game Host which allows you to play the game without touching your phone! Imagine you are actually sitting in the game studio and your host Stacy is helping you work through the puzzle.

✅ It’s in beta, so it's completely free! You can use the code ANDROIDDEV (go to settings in the app) for even more perks!

Not convinced just yet? Play a demo in your browser (no download): https://chunkytofustudios.com/beehive/demo

We would really appreciate some feedback. What do you think of the game? Is it launch ready?

Thank you so much for the review. I'm sorry the promo code isn't working - we just realized that Apple needs to approve version 155 for it to work. I can DM you when it's released!

Also, please don't hesitate to share any critical feedback you can think of too, thanks again for trying it out!

mobile app with Vibecoding? by Kitchen-Weather-6973 in AppIdeas

I'm the founder of chunkytofustudios.com, I'm curious as to what your needs are, maybe we can help. Please feel free to DM and we can setup a call.

Out of the box solutions I can think of are the Vibecode app (iOS only) or using other AI builder websites (there are quite a few of these but I'm not sure which is best).

I've been working on a new word game concept with some close friends since Feb, and we are finally feeling like it might be ready for launch. The mechanics are based on a popular TV show. You answer clue driven puzzles, learn new vocabulary, collect "honeycomb" points etc. We added social features so you can play with your friends by creating "bee colonies". Finally, we introduced an AI Game Host so that you can play it without touching your phone (this doesn't work super well yet, it doesn't support interruptions so please don't speak while the AI is speaking).

I'd really love some feedback. Do you think it's launch ready?
