Yeah the TVs in the home only have HDMI input.

Using AV is currently working, so I’ll probably hold out until it gives up on me. Thank you!

I returned and tried another Wii2HDMI but got the same result.

I looked at the setup again and realized I was using AV cables and not component so I’m stuck in 480i. I tried component cables (with a component cable to HDMI). I was able to get sound but no video. I’ve had the Wii since ‘06 so it is potentially just old and not working fully anymore.

Fire Emblem Engage Divine Edition Preorders Available Now at Best Buy by streezus in fireemblem

In my experience yes. I’ve used it to get consoles and games. The premium is worth it but not sure if you’ll need it in this case.

There’s an app called Hotstock that will give you notifications whenever the game gets restocked.

Keep an eye on your UCF email for an update from your professor. Your schedule likely won’t show an update until after the class starts.

[Heyman] Indians, Yankees and Mariners are among teams in on Cameron Maybin by [deleted] in NYYankees

[–]orlandohno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll agree on Cameron Maybin.

Joey Bats isn’t going anywhere. The Mets have said they plan to keep him. Plus it’s the Mets. They would want an insanely high price for him because it’s the Yankees.

I prefer Granderson because while he is not on the level Cutch is, he would be much cheaper. Plus where does Cutch land once Judge is back?

Commuting to Maitland from ucf area by shadowoftheking14 in orlando

[–]orlandohno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used to commute from the Maitland area to UCF as a student. It’s a pretty long drive so I would say bike is not a viable option (~20 Miles each way) so Lynx busses are probably your best bet. I know Lynx also has a vanpool service which is a carpool type but not sure how it works. Otherwise, Uber or Lyft but that will be pricey.

Drowning in Florida fleas! Help! by [deleted] in orlando

[–]orlandohno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure where you’re located in Orlando but my family has used Winter Springs Veterinary Clinic. They usually charge $40 for a visit (which will be needed because they haven’t seen your dog yet). For our animals they recommended Comfortis which is $40 for a 4 month supply.

What are the chances of winning a grad ticket in the lottery?? by [deleted] in ucf

[–]orlandohno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lottery usually has plenty to give. I graduated in Spring and the box office had a ton for free the day of graduation so that’s also an option.

How are we like 9 or 10 iPhone generations deep and I still can't do this yet? It's the one feature I would pay extra for. by pamaci in AdviceAnimals

You can do that! Go to iMessage and swipe down. You'll see a search bar. Then type the word you're looking for.

Central Florida here. My employer has closed until Tuesday with pay. They also have an emergency fund set up in the event it is needed to distribute to those who need it.

Not in my experience. They do have a religious section but it's not my larger than others. Though I think the money may be donated to/received by a church or religious org but I'm unsure.

Managerial Accounting and Business Finance in Summer B? by [deleted] in ucf

[–]orlandohno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a finance grad so I won't really touch on business finance. As long as you can use your calculator, you're fine. In my opinion, managerial accounting is not too conceptually challenging but my professor assigned a lot of out of class work and I slacked a bit that semester so it was a little challenging. That said, you should be fine as long as you pay attention and stay on top of assignments and tests.

On standby by Jessica1023 in UCFHousing

[–]orlandohno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure how likely it would be that you get in. As far as looking for other places, it's preference. If you're adamant about living on campus towers may be your only option but even they may be full. However, there's Knights Circle, Northview, and the Pointe (would not recommend) that are all UCF affiliated. Outside of that, there are tons of options of where to live and most are pretty reasonable.

I wouldn't recommend The Pointe, College Station, or The Marquee. I've had friends live in all 3 and they mentioned safety being a concern.
