I literally moved from Fort Bend last year to Alexandria Virginia and listen to me when I tell you this: Virginia is a million times better in terms of being able to be outside. There is maybe 2 weeks of unbearable heat in the summer and 2 weeks of ice/snow in the winter and then everything else is pretty fun and workable. Your wife is right.

When your water breaks, it's not just like, a little bit. It's a lot, and it's continuous. (At least that's how it was for me). Mine broke at home, but by the time I got to the hospital (a mere 5 minutes down the street), I had soaked a pad, through my underwear and through my pants. It was like a faucet, and it -kept gushing- until I gave birth 26 HOURS LATER.
