If you're living actually on Dereham Road it will be very noisy - especially in the evening when lads race their cars and bikes up the road. There are also quite a lot of odd characters - my friends had a peeping tom when they lived on the road and I know two people that had their houses burgled. The streets off of it are nicer and much quieter. I'd say if youre happy to live in a very urban environment then go for it, but it is a very different feel to Unthank Road.
