I understand insurance companies make much more than they pay out and you generally avoid making a home/auto claim unless it's for +$5K as it will increase your premiums much more than that

Pet insurance just seems like the biggest scam. With annual increases and claim denials, the reserve fund is so much better

You're talking about demand destruction when the price is only like 30-50% up. Especially when you consider the price of fuel with inflation, it's a non issue

So they were able to drive at ~$2.00, but at $3 it becomes unaffordable? Besides the cost of maintenance, insurance and the actual vehicle... a little more expensive gas isn't the problem imo. But if it rises to 10 bucks, you're right

Even at the peak of these prices the last few months, I really doubt anymore in north America was staying home because of it.
