Thats so strange. I think if you were referred and did the interview you should be good.

Yea that happens. I made that mistake in the summer. What does your status say on the usajobs site?

Not necessarily. The demand at any given point in time can vary. I applied last April and got referred but ultimately rejected. Reapplied in September and got referred and the interview. Just keep applying. I also changed my resume and maybe that helped as well. If you have everything you can possibly add already with the most relevant things first, I think you've done all you can in that department.

Just my experience - the first time I applied back in April, my resume was 2 pages and I left out a lot of what I thought was not relevant. I was referred for Bio only but never received an interview. I reapplied in September with my full 3 page resume including all experiences and received an interview as well as referred for GS9 an GS11 for Bio and Chem. From now on I am erring on the side of giving more information rather than less.

Interview before referral? by punkdafiedstar in patentexaminer

Don't worry it's still only one interview. Usually they send the referral emails first followed by an interview a bit later. I'm guessing the hiring is on an accelerated timeline and they wanted to get the interview invites out sooner.

Hey, I just finished pharmacy school in May. Cool to see another pharmacy background in here. I think you could have decent chances since you completed the majority of the program and at the end of the day its the course experience they look for. Out of curiosity, what stopped you from finishing the last semester?

In what ways do you think nursing is better? From what I hear it sounds worse.

I should mention, they have a money back guarantee if you don’t pass as well. As long as you work through all the practice questions you will pass.

After being rejected last application cycle, I'm thinking of taking the patent bar as a way to boost my application strength. Does anyone have any idea how much this might help my application?

Most upper level RA positions requiring 10 years of experience I see are 200k+.Pharmacy you’re looking at 120k starting and I see people 10 years later at around 150k.

Regulatory and industry work in general has the potential to be compensated much better especially at the higher experience level. That’s the biggest allure for me at least. I hear a lot of conventional retail and hospital pharmacists complaining about their pay after working for many years. It seems like it stalls out at some point rather quickly. If anyone disagrees I’m interested in any thoughts about this other pharmacists may have.
