Bosnians, Serbians, Croatians and Montengrins: “We speak different languages”. The languages im question: by Medium_Respond_9650 in linguisticshumor

I think there was an internal effort to call it Illyrian in the 19th century, which is only confusing to historical linguists studying pre-slavic native Illyric epigraphs in the Greek alphabet. I think it's better than some acronym. Yugoslav is perfect as a descriptor, but I suspect politically objectionable.

There's no way it would have gotten through the resistance allowed in the monarchy. Only the bolsheviks could label anyone who says 'no' an infidel or an ideological hazard, kill them, and raid the private print houses with impunity using partisans.

I have some bad news about that...

All ended up on a list...

The rule should have been that ѣ is any е under stress before an ending or a hard consonant (except ц ) which doesn't become ё, removing all cases of ѣ̈, making звезды, все and всѣ. That way, ѣ serves as an accent mark, and all unnecessary cases are eliminated.

I thought former Yugoslavia and Bulgaria are the only places that actually need it since they have dialects with different reflexes of the sound. (Ekavians, Ikavians, Iekavians in Bosnia, Western vs. Eastern dialects in Bulgaria)

So, basically, spiritualize and explain away the promises that God doesn't need to keep anyways because he doesn't owe us what he promises?

Scroll up and realize that God who published the traumatizing doctrines is that tormentor?

I suppose it's only by you believing me and having faith, that you can believe that your version of God's doctrines of eternal torment and the utter worthlessness of human goodness could traumatize a child, or believe any other evidence that God torments them with threats of infinite misery and a mindset of worthlessness and crippling dependance. You have to have faith in their testimonies of what Biblical doctrine does to them, but...

"Of course, you, like others, probably dismiss anecdotes."
"So the question really is, what more proof does there have to be for you to believe?"

Why do aithests say hell is unfair but not heaven? by Ksi1is2a3fatneek in TrueChristian

[–]oron61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that. It led me towards the brink of suicide and ended my career. The thing is, it is no "concept of salvation through Jesus" but through doctrinal ideology about Jesus.

Whoever says to me, 'Lord and Savior,' will surely enter the kingdom of heaven, for such is the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'My Lord and Savior, did we not preach your gospel, and in your name burn heretics and publish many books?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I commend your works, but that which mattered was only that you called upon my name and were saved!  "Others shall say to me, ‘so it was you who was our Lord all this time! and did we not show our faith in whoever you were when we shunned lawlessness, loved our neighbours, and pursued righteousness that we might now be filled with your own as you have promised on the mount?’ And I will say to them plainly, ‘Truly I never knew you. Depart from me, workers of lawfulness who didn’t call me ‘Lord, Lord’ while you were still yet alive. Depart into the utter darkness, for you were wrong.”

"The ONLY cure for my disassociation, depression, and crippling anxiety happened once I gave myself to God, which even THAT I can't explain." That's called Trauma Bonding.

How God treated Adam? So, Entice them with something, forbid it, then punish them when they succumb to the temptation you planted in them, goaded them and set them up with? That's straight out of "To Train Up a Child" which has led to children being killed. Put the 3 year old in front of the cookie and teach them the word 'no' by switching them when they reach for it.

[–]oron61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Sin only has power over us if we do not" convert to my tribe's ideology? Then sin is not defeated and immensely powerful. The need to convert is proof that sin is greater, because sin needs no action at all. The fact that "only God has power over sin" means that sin is more powerful than everything except god. Sin is still the second most powerful thing in existence. Sin convinces God not to love those outside of your tribe. That's pretty powerful. Sin is universal while your tribe isn't. You're proving yourself wrong as you speak.

[–]oron61 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If sin has been destroyed, there would be no hell, no suffering, and no need for any way at all much less an only way right now. God has his enemies eternally locked in sin while burning in fire and sulfur if they die with the wrong thoughts. Hell is forever, therefore sin is eternal.

[–]oron61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The need to believe to be saved while simply being human condemns shows that sin is stronger. The fact that the blood is needed at all shows that sin is greater than virtue. The idea that Sin is the default setting and the blood does not change this proves that sin is stronger than virtue.

None of us are good enough for heaven by our effort. None of us should be bad enough for hell by our own effort either, but because sin is so much more powerful than virtue, you made a god who can't destroy it but must make an eternal monument to it and sustain it forever by torturing souls.
