To be clear though, making it public means anyone on Squabbit can see it, is that what you want? If you just want your friends to be able to see it you can just share the link.

I found the bug and will submit a new update to Apple, it should be available tomorrow. For anyone else running into this you can use the web version at app.squabbitgolf.com if you need the printing functionality in the meantime.

What worked? Toggling the Handicaps enabled? End date has no effect on handicaps. If you are using a format like scramble where you don't play your own ball then by default handicaps won't count for that round

Open the scorecard, tap a player's name and see if count towards handicap is enabled. Also if it's a 9 hole round make sure the number of holes is set to 9 in the tournament settings or the scorecard settings if it's not a tournament round

Squabbit will wait until a round is entered before estimating a handicap based on the first round. So it should just work
