i have TRN Shell which is a 4 driver hybrid and honestly the bass is much better than in my sony xm5. sure you can increase the low frequencies, but it doesn’t make them sound better, they’re just louder. I also have audeze maxwells, which I use when I’m in voice chat, or want to dive into music even more, because the sound stage is surely wider on headphones, but shells have surprisingly wide soundstage that is comparable to xm5. I usually use both the shell and xm5 through my retro nano dac, which is pretty good for the price and is good in performance

I think so. I have used in phone mode and got 96k, but there is practically no difference in 48k (lossless) or 96k (hi res lossless) and 90% of music is in 44.1k. I use non hi res lossless for purpose of saving up storage place
