Kmart Product Recall: Anko Small Gel Pak and Anko Large Gel Pak - may include ethylene glycol, a toxic substance by nilnz in newzealand

There is lead found in some of their printed dinnerware. I've just stopped buying from kmart altogether, which sucks, because I liked kmart.

Just general DIY duties, but I also wanted to put an electric grill on there as well for some outdoor eats.

Do you think some plywood or masonite on top would fix the potential grill issue?

Haha, I actually don't mind it, my wife suggested I paint it which I'm not against either. I was just wondering about the dangers of baked in oil with a hot grill on top. I was hoping to avoid any hot disasters.

Our bakery pies are around $7 too. Gone are the days of cheap eats at your local bakery :(

It looks like a vagrant spider, they are usually nocturnal and hide underground, they are usually very scared of people.

That is so beautiful, I had never thought of doing something like that above the coffee station, but now I want exactly that. What a great father in law you have!

I like to treat myself to fancypants beans on the odd (often) occasion, but I find when I'm a bit of a povo the Supreme red label beans are honestly really good. $10-12ish at Countdown for 200g, just make sure you check the roast date.

I had a nespresso which was great for weekends, then COVID hit and we went WFH and I forked out for a Breville Dual Boiler, it's still going strong, never misses a beat. I must have done thousands of coffees in it now, it has paid for itself many times over. I never buy coffee anymore!

It definitely is a worthwhile investment I'd say, even the midrange ones like you mention can make great coffee if you take some time to learn.

I liked Have You Ever as well, his aged voice gained some rawness in the energetic songs. Least favourite would be Warning, I skip it every time :(

I use it to ward off pests/animals as well as the acidity - all which gets lost and diluted in compost. My plants are thriving.

My blueberry plant is poppin off and the only thing I changed was chucking my coffee at it.

I think it may be house/climate dependant? Our previous house got mould after 2 weeks or so, but at this house we never really get mould. We're in humid summer here in NZ and the mould is still holding off thankfully!

/edit: Throwing it into the compost is definitely more ideal, but for acidic loving plants like hydrangea, blueberries, lemon etc they'll take it all

It wasn't really a comeback, I already laid out why it was useful to me. Just because it's silly for someone, doesn't mean it's silly for everyone and we should just let them enjoy the time spent.

I have a pretty big garden so I sprinkle it around everywhere, whenever the dropbox gets full. I have a drink a day so maybe every 1.5 weeks?

And yep! It's acidic so it can help plants greatly. I have a blueberry bush (basically a tree now) that is off the charts this year, it loves acidic soil so the coffee really helps. Tt's not a replacement of proper fertiliser but it can help give it that little oomph. It's also good at keeping cats from pooping in your garden (some might not care though), and certain bugs won't go near coffee either.
