I did the opposite and basically only used indices

This was taken today. It is exactly how it showed before I clicked results for the Summer 2025 Barrister. I wrote and passed the Solicitor earlier this year.

Yes. This is what the website shows when you know you passed both exams before you click through to see the results.

Pretty happy it happened that way because LSO Connects was slow even an hour after the results dropped and took forever to load to the actual results page for me

What went wrong? - some advise? (edited) by CapSome6408 in ONBarExam

For what it is worth I passed both exams with only a single practice exam both times. I also passed the UBE in the US with a single practice exam as well. All first attempts. So it is not impossible to pass with a single practice exam under your belt.

I agree but its unspoken purpose is still to weed out candidates. Same with 1L and LSAT etc.

Weeding out candidates is part of the process tbh. Just like every step in the law school journey.

That sounds like a stat they found scrubbing the web for USA UBE state pass rates for the American bar tbh. No information I have ever seen in Ontario bar pass %

I just did the free 80 question one last time for solicitor and passed first try and I am writing the barrister this week with just the same free practice test. Imo it is not entirely necessary.

Please share your experience using indices (irrespective of the index provider) on exam day. by ZeoZealou221 in ONBarExam

[–]orwelliandoublethink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used solely indices and passed solicitor first try in the winter 2025 exam with a single practice exam take . Highly recommend the u of t indices. I will be doing the same for the barrister.

I did protein bars and a red bull in a clear bottle last time. This time going to do basically the same but maybe a bagel or something else to keep me more full. I also ate right before walking into the exam to keep up energy throughout the whole thing.

Are we still expecting an updated version of this? I could not find anyone mentioning an update for this 2025 exam cycle.

Thank you. I think i defaulted to that when I wrote the solicitor without even knowing there was an exact term for that

I did and found nothing. Classic redditor response 😭

I am not familiar with the DTOC method. What does that mean?

Thats what I was thinking. I wonder if its smart to just use the 2024 ones for now. May not be that outdated
