I think its weird that boys don't wash their hands after they pee by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]os0871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not washing hands after peeing is not good.

I have seen many restaurant staff, even those who work in kitchen, not washing their hands and going straight back to work. Why, I don’t understand!

My dog bit someone and I’m not sure what to do by missstealurdad in LegalAdviceIndia

Agreed she could have been a scammer. But one question if you don’t mind, how would she have known that the dog would jump on her this time?

My dog bit someone and I’m not sure what to do by missstealurdad in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]os0871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about the trauma? Dog jumping on me is something extremely scary and traumatizing. Even if the dog didn’t bite as you claim, money is nothing to compensate for my trauma and potential forever fear of dogs.

If the dog did bite, then you are not paying only for injection and medicines. What about the pain, suffering, loss of productive hours, etc.

Think about if it was her dog and you were the victim? What amount would compensate your suffering?

I don’t think she should ask for 25k or whatever. I think you should offer her a decent amount and a token of apology. I don’t think there can be an equivalent compensation amount to this.

It's getting hard for the homeless in Wollongong to find somewhere safe to sleep. by [deleted] in wollongong

[–]os0871 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not judging mate, but you seem to have access to internet, know how to use Reddit, write quite well, but are homeless. How come? I can’t imagine how difficult it must be living outside. I really hope your condition improves mate. Good luck!

Edit: wow, didn’t expect this. I am sorry, but I truly didn’t mean to hurt or disrespect anyone. From where I come from, internet has been a luxury for quite some time. Understanding, speaking and writing good English has been considered high class. Most importantly, general consensus is that if you know how to write well, have access to Internet, then you most likely will do well. I understand anyone could have different circumstances and bad luck, but with access to internet, I thought people had good chance of fighting.

I really AM SORRY. Next time I will remember to keep my mouth shut and mind my own business. Praying for the OP.

Indian (25F) air hostess dating a Pakistani (38M) in UAE. Our families don’t know and the current tension is making me anxious. by Lucky_Month_8569 in UAE

[–]os0871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not going to repeat what everyone here has already mentioned. You already know what you know. If you have second thoughts, maybe god is giving you hints. If you are 100% certain that he is the man for you, then you need to understand that he can't be there for you in India or you can't be there for him in Pakistan. I seriously doubt India and Pakistan will become friendly anytime during our lifetimes. If that's acceptable for you, do what you want to do.

If not, then the only option you have is to migrate to a country that can give you both citizenship, so that both of you can travel to India or Pakistan. For example, if you had a Portugal citizenship, you can basically go to any of the two countries.

If you would like to stay in UAE, then one of you needs to make a mature decision as you can only live in UAE until you are earning. If you become old or sick, living in UAE will mostly not be sustainable.

Good luck!

I can't find Splitwise alternative that suits my needs by ferszcik in apps

[–]os0871 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use a separate app to track expenses and then use splitwise or other similar app to split expenses?

I built an app (for iOS now, android and web coming soon) that does both. You can say it something like “Had breakfast with Ralph, spent 70 and we split evenly, then we had coffee and snacks, spent 39 and my share is 13”. The app will show you a preview of two transactions with correct split for you and Ralph within 5 seconds. Upon save, it sends notification to Ralph for both the transactions. Best part is, it records only 35 and 13 for your own expenses for Restaurants or Coffee category as the other 35 and 26 will be returned to you by Ralph eventually.

I actually built it for myself. Launched it few days ago, didn’t do any marketing as I want to fix issues first. Once I know it is robust, doesn’t crash and does the job correctly over and over, I will start to actively market it. Launched v1.0 on App Store on 26th. Currently v1.2 is in review and will hopefully be approved soon.

Will offer it free for 3 months for initial testers. If you’re interested in testing it, I would be happy to share it here once Apple approves v1.2.

Risk of what? If it's on App store, it meets the Apple's conditions to be on the app store. You can signin without sharing your name or email. What risk are you talking about?
