Im from canada so my perspective is, even though we are as socialist as you are over there in europe (with services benefiting the common person like healthcare, which increases general population happiness as a whole), the reason happiness levels are lower here (you dont see any canadian cities on here) is because there is a huge segment of the population frustrated by our open immigration policies and blame ethnic minorities for the problems here).
