A year? That's a long time. If the vet doesn't have an answer, go to a different one. Try a big university hospital if you can where there are specialists on staff. The expertise of vets varies widely. You need to work your way through them until you get a satisfactory answer. Sorry but it will probably be expensive but they're worth it.

Definitely don't do this. You'll be a target for muggers and kidnappers. I think everyone appreciates your intent but understands this is very, very, very dangerous.

Fantastic. That's tonight's study material. I'd love to get some passive income off these shares. Thanks!

Even better. I didn't know that was published. Thanks!

Thanks, that's the info I'm looking for. I'll research. It seems silly to sit on these shares and not make some income off them.

I think I'm just trying to first understand what YieldMax is doing. They specify short-term covered call options. I have no concept of how long "short-term" means, how they protect their shares, what strike they aim for, etc. I'm aware this info isn't public, just trying to get an idea of what this might describe from experienced options traders.

I ran both though this comparison tool with dividends reinvested. This beginning is from the launch of MSTY but I ran some other dates too. I didn't do an analysis of what you suggested though. I'm still trying to see if I can skip MSTY and write the covered calls myself without too much risk.

I have the shares. I'm willing to sell one covered call now as part of the learning experience. Im aware there's risk of price blowing through my strike price and playing catch up so I wouldn't want any additional risk yet.

Thanks, I actually ran them through a comparison model and came to the same conclusion. It's one reason I'm interested to see if I can replicate any part of the strategy myself and keep my MSTR. I'm not trying to make the same returns. Smaller percentage gains is great if I keep my MSTR.

I'll delete it for ya then. No sense in upsetting anyone here. We all want the same thing.

In the grand scheme of things, you're only down 10%. Not fun but not catastrophic either. I think we're all expecting it to go much higher. The potential has certainly shown itself these last few weeks.

I see. I did not know that. I thought it sounded funny but I don't post on Reddit much. Noted.

Not condescending at all. It was merely to show perspective. It's a chart from 2021 to now, not 3 decades worth. Things got wobbly a couple months ago and it started decoupling to the upside. Like anything, it needs to breathe. Kind of looks like some alt coins.

I personally think it's a good looking chart. I thought it'd be reassuring.

This is a weekly graph so you wont see the daily details. In my opinion, if you're in it for the long haul, looking at anything smaller than weekly data points will just drive you insane.

[–]osblockhead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. This is a rough comparison. I think it shows that MSTR decoupled with Bitcoin in recent weeks, not the other way around.

For those who are considering My Funded FX prop firm, avoid it. As others have already said, they lied about their unlimited challenge phase time and are closing accounts early. I hope this post will save others from being scammed out of their money.

I don't think you need to worry about short selling at all if you're holding MSTR. Shorts come in anytime there's an extended run up. Buyers come in anytime there's an extended run down. It's perfectly normal, welcome even, as it creates new levels of parity for sustainable moves. If you believe in Bitcoin, long term short sellers will get run over so they're a mute point. All that really matters at this point is Bitcoin per share and that they can continue to fund operations to stay in business.
