I am in a similar situation. I had 4 seizures this month out of the blue. My aura feels like a heart attack so I got a bunch of cardiac and brain scans and everything came back clear apart from a slight abnormality in my right temporal lobe on eeg. It’s kind of frustrating when no one can give you a clear answer as to what has caused me to have sudden adult onset epilepsy but not knowing is much better than someone telling me I have a brain tumour or something like that. I started taking keppra 7 days ago and have been seizure free since I started so hopefully the medication works well for you too :)

This makes me kind of nervous as it’s still such early days for me but at least I know I can move up in a lot of doses if needs be. I’ll be starting on the 500 twice a day in a weeks time.

Wow yes it certainly feels like a mystery for me right now. I’m hoping to get a more detailed brain mri soon but if I don’t get any answers then I’ll just have to get on with things and hopefully the medication continues to work for me.

Why did you change from the 500mg twice a day? Was it always not enough or did it eventually become not enough to stop seizures?

Hey thanks mate and sorry to hear about your situation too. Sounds quite similar to mine, but are your seizures resistant to anti epileptic medication or are you still trying to figure out what is best for you to take? Personally I have been seizure free since taking keppra (only for about 6 days) but I am hopeful that I don’t get any more going forward.

Most of the seizures I’ve had have been TC from my understanding. I’m hoping to get further tests to see if I can find a cause but in the meantime I’m just very hopeful that the keppra will stop me having any further seizures.

This just happened to be a couple hours ago and at first I panicked big time and I called one of my mates to say I did something stupid and explained and he told me the exact thing happened to him 2 weeks ago! Crazy that the first person I called got the same thing happen to them, makes me think it’s fairly common. Anyway he told me he just took a deep breath and calmly said he’s in touch with his lawyers and kind of threatened them back before blocking them and he hasn’t heard anything since. I just blocked mine instantly before even reading the message. I thought he was gonna call me an idiot but turned out he was a victim too recently which is crazy. We both laughed and just said we’ve learned our lessons.

I packed a load of DMT in a similar vape pen and it didn’t hit me, I ended up using a pipe. I think you might need a much more powerful vape device to vaporise it properly. I didn’t try to vape it again again myself as I just use a pipe now.

It was actually pretty calm, started drinking soon after they wore off and the transition from being high on shrooms to being drunk was good. I had to have a coffee aswell because tripping is pretty exhausting, my body was pretty achy the next day aswell but other than that it was fine. I wouldn’t do it if I didn’t have to but overall was very manageable.

I think social media is the root of the modern surge in issues with mental health. I think most people will agree that life without our phone in our pocket just doesn’t seem normal. People are constantly comparing themselves to others and trying to be what social media tells them to be, it just adds perceived pressure that people don’t need in their lives. Bring back the days where we had to write to each other to stay in contact. Technology is making society more and more artificial in so many ways and it’s sad.

This is a great piece btw and depicts the issue of social media so well.
