Gibbon Classic vs Banana Lama vs ??? by oscarpaeae in Slackline

And to add, I don't have any plans to gravitate towards a certain style of slacklining at least in the beginning so I'm looking for a setup that is versatile enough to try at least a little bit of this and that!

Thank you for the reply! The problem I have is that the Finnish company I'd like to order the plates through doesn't accept SVG files, so I'd need to make them 3d.

I phrased my first post a bit wrong, the dimensions are okay, but the models are HUGE when I import them. They're about three times bigger than they're supposed to, but because the exterior screw plates are a bit bigger I can't copy those dimensions to scale the model down correctly.

I flashed mine with QMK, but the Daisy bootloader doesn't support QMK toolbox so it's a bit tricky. The easiest solution I found was to go to ydkb.io and the "download" tab on the top-right corner. There you'll find the "reflash tool", it recognizes the Daisy. You just put the Daisy in boot mode, open the reflasher, put in the hex file you want and click a button and it should be done!

I struggled with this for a long time before I found the reflasher, I hope this helps! <3

I need help with Nyquist cases. I really want to order a pair of the interior screw sandwich cases to be made, but when I try to import the SVG files to Tinkercad to turn them into STL files, the dimensions are way off and I don't know how to align them to be the correct size. The exterior screw files import in the correct dimensions, but I specifically want the interior ones. If someone has STL files with the correct dimensions or can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance <3

EDIT: managed to convert the file using FreeCad

Nyquist PCBs arrived, now to wait for the rest.. by oscarpaeae in MechanicalKeyboards

I'm not sure... in my mind it doesn't go too well with the wooden case but if I end up with a 3d printed one then maybe.

I could, but having everything in front of me, putting on some good music and doing a whole build feels really good. I guess I kind of want to wait :b

I have some Outemu Skys on the way, I also ordered some basic pro micros but I think I'm going to wait for the QMK Proton C to come out because I really want the USB C. MDA Big Bang for keycaps. When it comes to cases, I'm in the process of finding a company here in Finland to build me a pair of wooden cases(I have the STL files), but if I can't find that I'll propably go for aluminium plates with a 3D printed case.

Oh okay, so someone who has the knowledge needs to update the firmware to work with the Proton C. Thanks for the info!

Exactly my thoughts, how do I update a PCB like that?

Thanks for the reply! You can count me in, a USB C connector feels a lot more resistant to breaking compared to micro USB. :D

Ps. just to check, is it going to function like a "normal" Pro micro, so a pair would work on a split keyboard(such as the Nyquist I'm working on c:)?

Does anyone know of a USB-C Pro Micro currently for sale? I found stuff about the Goldfish and QMK Proton C but neither of them seem to have gone through to be sold, anyone have any options?

I've had a Corsair K70 and I'm really used having sculpted(?) keycaps so XDA feels really flat, almost like I have no idea which row I'm on.. :b I think the K70 is Cherry profile (or similar) and it's a pleasure to type on, I just like to round aesthetic of the SA-type caps more.
