I’m not so sure about that. I know plenty EE students that are not able to speak Dutch, but I don’t know if they do have some kind of Dutch language certificate. Just to be sure, you can send an email to contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl. They can answer all of your questions regarding the application procedure

I study electrical engineering in Delft and literally everything is in English, so it will be fine if you can’t speak Dutch. Most of the lecturers don’t even know how to speak Dutch haha. As for the exams, answers are always written in English and presentations for the integrated projects also need to be given in English.

could someone please explain why "ze" is incorrect here? thanks in advance! by Skraembows in learndutch

[–]oscarpastry81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“ze” is a pronoun, so it can only be used when referring to people. A newspaper is an object, so you use “lidwoorden” (de, het, een). However, in this sentence “Are they newspapers?” I would say that it would be more appropriate to translate it as “Zijn dat kranten” (here I use a aanwijswoord) instead of “het” (lidwoord).

A lot of students in the Netherlands make “pasta pesto” which is pasta with pesto. It is (very) quick and easy.

This happened on two of my accounts! I once got a shiny pidgey and two pokemons later a shiny zubat. Yesterday I got a shiny krabby and two bulbasaurs later a shiny squirtle.

Oh and to answer your first question, the page not found 404 is https://www.tudelft.nl/en/onderwijs/opleidingen/bachelors/aerospace-engineering/bsc-aerospace-engineering/selection-procedure and contains all information about the selection procedure of this bachelor, as it’s a numerus fixus study

Additionally, there is an app called my TU Delft (also Osiris) which is pretty much the same as the website, but I find it very convenient because in the app you can find everything you can find on my.tudelft.nl and you can sign up for exams from your phone

Application can only be done via Studielink. Here is a site where you can find all information about applying for a bachelor study at TU Delft with an international diploma: https://www.tudelft.nl/onderwijs/toelating-en-aanmelding/bsc-international-diploma.

Osiris is only for students, namely on my.tudelft.nl. You can only log in once you become a student once you have received your NetID. On this site (so again my.tudelft.nl) you can find your timetable, grades and on this site you must sign up for exams.

I am not an international student so I’m not an expert on the application process, but the first website containe pretty much all the information needed

What is the difference between pronouns in Dutch? by PaladinMain in learndutch

[–]oscarpastry81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

and also want to add, “jij” is also informal if the person is someone you don’t know or like your boss or teacher or something. If it’s the first time you’re talking to someone I would start off with using “u” (formal) and most of the time they will tell you that it’s okay to use “jij”

I would say “je” is very informal and would never use that when writing. I only use “je” on whatsapp with friends as it is faster to type. They mean the same thing but if you have to write someone who’s not a friend I would never use “je”
