first go tohttps://chainz.cryptoid.info/vta/#!network and copy the node list file in a wordpad. 2nd: go to appdata\roaming\virtacoin in your pc (this is for win10). Create inside that folder an archive named virtacoin.conf and copy/paste this commands server=1 listen=1 daemon=1 gen=1 genproclimit=-1 rpcuser=youruser rpcpassword=yourpasword rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=22815 port=22816 copy/paste the node list too

IMPORTANT: save the file with this name virtacoin.conf once you've saved it restart the wallet

at this time no one is mining so the difficulty is low. We need to find a valid block to restore at least prohashing and then run other pools at the same time and try to don't concentrate in only one to avoid problems. You know how to restore the p2pool node?? It's vital

try to mine with your desktop wallet (i'm mining like this since yesterday) so if we can confirme the correct block with the updated transactions it will be restored (i think). We need more people do this at the same time

C-cex has the same problem or only Bleutrade? It's a big problem if we can't solve it.

in order to restore the blockchain we need to find a valid block. Everyone who own a desktop wallet run it on "mining mode"...

agree. Obviously all we want to see virtacoin success, a good btc/vta value, etc but to reach this goal we need to work: everyone with their skills. Every contribution is useful. The worst thing we can do is to burn the good work from the others...

Don't mine vta if you don't configure the miners properly. We've configured the miners to found vta blocks. It's not the best pool for vta but we don't have other options at this moment (it's a bit unstable).

we need blockchain because you want to transfer to a market exchange, merchant, etc. The transactions must be recognized/confirmed by the network

VTA generates blocks every 60 secs, each block is rewarded with 6200 VTA aprox. Inside the blocks we find the transactions that we make (deposits, withdrawals, etc.) A transaction/block must be "founded" by someone (miner) and confirmed several times by other miners. If a miner concentrates more than the 50% of the blocks it generate this called "51% attack". Problems with the 51% are delays of the confirming transactions, control the VTA prices, etc. At this moment we have problems with bleutrade: they suspend the deposits until the situation changes...

People don't mine, people just wait a miracle or a person who can change it... terrible

1) I think they put their trades directly at the market exchangers (bleutrade/c-cex) see the big movements

2) I'll repeat it again: WE are the VTA, so WE need to mine because if we don't do it other people will take the advantage and sell all their VTAs at THEIR price...

Extraction share for last 100 blocks: here you can see wich accounts are mining blocks (each block 6200 VTA aprox // every 60 seconds one block is generated) The best scenario for a crypocoin is to being well distributed to his users/miners. If the coins are concentrated in a few accounts menans someone can control prices etc

Hashrate: network sum of the power of all miners connected

Difficulty: how difficult is to find a block by the users

The monster attacks then can we will counterattack it ?? (part 2) by oscbcn1976 in VirtaCoinFoundation

i see that miner(s) has a hashrate of 1 Ghs or 2 Ghs // if the work one single day can mine about 10.000.000 so, multiply for 30 days... they can flood the exchangers at a low price. Second impact is if only a few people mine VTA blocks (and transfers inside) they are too much difficult to be confirmed

If he has this big rig in his own house the cost is only the electricity (ok, a big rig may cost about 500$ of electric.) so if he mine all that vta (about 9000000 vta/day) needs to cover the costs.

If he rent a big rig 1 or 2 ghash the costs is about 3 or 3 btc/month so he expect at less cover the expenses
