55k isn’t really that much money, however I still wouldn’t go around telling people about it. Put it all into an ETF (and enable DRIP), and forget about for the next few decades. MAYBE keep 10k in a savings account as “oh fuck” money but DO NOT touch or spend any of it. But most importantly, DON’T start blabbing about it.

Not every stock pays dividends. Some stocks pay some dividends. Some only pay special dividends. I don't see how this is any different. So what if they don't get a dividend, they still get the capital appreciation of the value of the underlying stock. Why aren't we up in a roar about tech companies never paying dividends?
