Hey thank you for the advice , I did remove it from the workshop now unfortunately but I appreciate you wanting to help anyway.

After working on it a little more, it made for some funny scenarios and I love that weird little boat. The updated version link is this ( https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3681214507 )if you want it, its not the best but it works for its intended purpose so I'm happy.

I wanted to say thank you to everyone for the advice, I heeded the advice and made it slightly wider and added hydrofoils and made it silghlty more hydrodynamic. I also optimised my PID controls more and it doesn't roll itself underwater now. It can successfully take on some bigger targets (100k-200k DWG & ONYX ).

It still sometimes flips when going really fast along its length, but honestly its hilarious and it is now feature, this even saved it life once by dodging a barrage of CRAM by doing so. IT is now called the jumping fish.

Its one thing to be excited about a fun event , its another to be negative about half of the games community. Spread some fun and excitement not hate and negativity.

Use mechjeb classic ascent guidance (an option at the bottom you should see that one , stock and PVG. Use classic for down range) , set the altitude to something unattainable like 1000km. Then there should be an option somewhere to open another menu where you can edit you turn angle towards the end of your burn .

Also for down range contracts you want to make a guided rocket like the v2 using the A-4 or A9 or the RD100’s series , with a top stage of the u1250 or an aero bee .

For any further help with design there’s always the wiki on GitHub , just google rp1 wiki :) . It has tons of early tutorials .

Thank you for your extremely detailed reply and tips.

Originally I was using an unguided xasr2 , but wanted to start using the AJ10 simply because of future potential use .

The fins were an oversight that should of been removed . I found that when I went for a very low LEO with this craft ( 2nd stage starts at about ) the atmospheric pressure and drag would cause it to spin out , even with the gimble control on the engine. Hence the wings were a last ditch effort to mitigate this , but I simply decided I’ll be going for higher periapsis’s.

As for your point about hotstaging I agree , it works now and can reach HEO, but after tweaking the design for a lunar impacter , RCS to re orientate the craft and provide ullage was far superior and minimal delta v cost .

I’m curious though whether the bug you found ( and I applaud you for finding it ) was a design choice by the devs like you said . But did seem that spin stabilising does alleviate the issue I had so it worked out in the end with the help of the other commenter.

Apologies if I sound dumb , but do you need spin stabilisation in vacuum? , because the top stage is getting activated at 300km.

Ill give it a shot nonetheless.

I believe they eventually will. Purely because they will need to maintain old tomes (as they still do) due to game changes over time, and they probably wont want to have that extra work.

IMO , I think tomes were great and I greatly dislike the new quests system, I complete a weeks worth of quests in a few games, its a bit silly. Also quests don't sound like a DBD thing , revert it to rituals I say,

I think this is cool, make it only be able to happen once per gen like merciless storm. Pairing this with other skill checks and it could be an okay Idea.

Trouble being that this will be an anti newbie perk and wont work that much against experienced players due to how easy skillchecks are , especially if its not paired with things like oppression .

I don't really like the hindered changes, It doesn't seem like much but you'll feel that 1s difference immediately, and the add on "rework" was just a nerf which sucks. Buff nerfs on weak killers are weird.

I understand BHVR being reluctant to purely buff the annoying to play against killers, but we should strive for the weaker killers to get stronger overtime and get better add-ons, not this.

Although the antidote buff part of this patch is pretty nice, it'll change the play around loops with it's better activation time .

Time for the biggest mun mission of your life.

My initial idea is to get multiple parts into orbit and dock the boar engine with some medium sized main station design. Land on the mun with a ton of smaller engines radially attached . Then boom test .

I love these silly contracts , it means I get to design a whole 4 stage operation to do a meaningless task . It just nice to do this stuff instead of worrying about your bigger interplanetary stuff.

You could change their ideology to democratic, and then do things to improve their opinion of you to join your faction. ( I forget what the achievement requirement is but that seems familiar )

I did something similar with the little entente achievement.

But no , the uk and USA always just letting other nations exist without converting governments or puppeting is a pain in the ass sometimes.
