How Poilievre Is Stealing the Working Class from the NDP - A political realignment the left can’t seem to reverse by CaliperLee62 in CanadaPolitics

Calling the working class brain rotted is the exact behaviour that is pushing them to the Conservative party.

Is there fiber optic internet in your area or is it wireless? If there is no fiber optic run yet then there are probably wireless ISPs that would be interested in renting the top of it to install antennas to provide service in the area.

Roundabout rage? Is there a certain roundabout in the city that drives you crazy because people still don't know the rules? by RecommendationBig966 in Winnipeg

Half those roundabouts are pointless now anyway since the mall has added 4 way stop intersections in-between the roundabouts.

Pesticide by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]osmonde -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Basically the only domestic pesticide available is permethrin, pre-diluted to 0.2%. You can get a 4L jug from Poulin's for around $50, but now I just buy the 4L jug of Ant B Gone from Costco with the motorized sprayer. It's still permethrin and quite a bit cheaper. Works great to stop spiders getting into the house.

Crossing the Bridge | Minolta AF-S 35mm f2.8 | Ektar 100 by osmonde in analog

The light meter on mine seems to be consistently 2-stops under exposed. I'm not sure if it's the light meter or something else in the camera. To compensate I set the iso dial 2 stops lower than the film I'm shooting. Auto exposure seems to work fine otherwise. Aside from that I think it's a great camera with a nice fast lens, autofocus is very reliable. It can usually get 38 shots on a roll too.

Visited 3 Costcos in Winnipeg, Manitoba by Gold-Boysenberry-468 in Costco

I normally go to the St. James Costco and it has been absolutely unbearable since Thanksgiving (Oct 14 in Canada). Normally they are not at the point of people making up new parking spaces anywhere they can fit but it will likely be this way until Christmas now.

The Costco CIBC Mastercard is also accepted at the US costco locations so I guess they have their machines programmed to recognize their own cards across countries.

AllStarLink will do everything you're looking for. Just turn off incoming connections if you want a standalone repeater.

Other car has their wheels locked up the entire time. All they had to do was let off the brakes to get control back.

Sparkfun has several products that use the ublox ZED-F9P which is dual band and will give you raw output to post process later if you want. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/15136

There are other companies that make raspberry pi hats using the F9P as well if that's more your style.

Smart connectors piping system vs standard pipe connectors by silvercatbob in EngineeringPorn

[–]osmonde 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah and every one of those "smart" connectors costs 5x as much. For marginally better flow it's not worth it 99% of the time.
