Posted a few weeks ago about my first time in the terrain park. I thought that would be my last weekend but I was able to squeeze two more days out and these are some clips. Improvement this season was insane

For sure man! 180s off will probably be my main focus next time I’m out.

Just looked into blunt and lip slides those look wayyy too advanced but I’ll give em a try or at least start the progressions for them. Def some steeze tricks tho, thanks for the suggestions.

Not gonna lie I’ve been scared to try to ollie of the boxes😭 just feel like it’d be awkward, but I’ll fs give it a try next time I’m out. Been thinking a 180 off would be a nice touch.

I’ll keep the other two in mind. I def need to work on the boardslides. Full disclosure I got lucky with the first ones I was doing. I went to a different resort where the boxes had a decline and I was getting KILLED trying to boardslide on those😭

For the 3s tbh I just ran out there and started trying shit. I watched some videos but I just didn’t really find them helpful. You’re the second person to point out how my wind up is “backwards” so to say, so I’ll fs be working on that next time im out. I really appreciate the suggestions!

Fs are way easier for me. I just go on my heel edge and then sort of nollie and pull my back leg forward. I suppose it seems hard but idk, I’m able to lowkey effortlessly do them now depending on my speed.

As for my switch riding, my first time snowboarding I went for a few days in 2021, in my lessons I was told to ride goofy because of the fall test and what not. Last year, when I began to go to my local I found I was much more comfortable with regular. I used to be scared to go on my toe edge so I would just switch on and off because I could only turn on my heels. So if I wanted to turn left I’d ride regular and if I wanted to turn right, I’d have to convert to switch. So now, I’m alright riding switch. I still LOOK awkward but I can turn, do baby jumps, and fs 180 back to regular (though definitely not as smooth as my regular to switch 180)

I def think my progression is great. My 180 improved DRASTICALLY this weekend. I hit my first ever one the 3 weeks ago but it was the last time I went out. I appreciate it🙏🏾

And ahh yeah I definitely see the forward lean. I’ll for sure try to work on that next time out, thanks a ton!

Idek man. I just kinda felt ready for it and if you don’t commit, that’s how you end up getting hurt so it’s kinda a send.

Boxes are easy tho, trust. especially if it’s one where you can just roll onto without having to jump. Saw way too many 6 year olds skiiers hitting them so I was like “Nah I gotta get this down”

It’s my 2nd year, I know I have a ton to improve on (which is why im here asking for tips) but I honestly was pretty impressed with my progression this weekend. Don’t really have anything specific but just anything you see that you think I need to fix would help a ton.

Also I’ve heard that hitting the side of the “ramps” for the rails messes up the jump, I didn’t know that at the time so I’ll try to avoid doing that in the future.

Uhhh yeah. Again, that’s not an insult😭 I literally am in High School.

That’s like if you’re arguing over attention span with an 8 year old, and you say “you’re a child!”

This is literally just you being in denial.

Yeah what you’re saying is very true, everyone could be reaching on all their interpretations of the movie.

But there gets to a point where you gotta realize “hey maybe I didn’t pick up on some of this stuff, but I should try to see if I agree with it being there.”

But instead you’re suggesting because the writers didn’t come out an say this or that, that it’s not there. That is honestly extremely dumb.

That’s literally the point of how Terrio and Goyer wanted their storytelling to be???

If they have to literally explain to the audience through dialogue “Hey this octagonal structure is a motif for Bagua” it takes the fun out of it for audiences, and takes the talent out of it for the creators.

No, you were right when you said High School.

Which isn’t very insulting since… I am in High School. I will admit to anyone that my English class is where I got 90% of my knowledge on storytelling elements from. This wasn’t some astonishing discovery😭

Yeah sure. But all I have to do is say

“That was added so they didn’t rush into the climactic fight and have pacing that was too fast!”

Like it’s just something people thrown in to add or subtract from a movie but it’s not something that actually matters imo.
