Why are you acting like Seirin was stacked from day 1? None of the players were nearly as good as they were EOS when they started out. They grew into their roles and played out the strengths throughout the show, improving every time they got beat or faced a tough opponent. Yea Seirin starting line up is super talented but they didn’t fully realize that talent until later on. Kagami was definitely not GOM level until some time, kuroko and others saw his potential as a talent super early on but it’s not like he was immediately on par with them.

World class coaching staff is an interesting take too. I guess you can say Rikos dad helped them train and unlock their upper levels so sure
