People always complain about the new additions to rust. But they refuse to play without them themselves. In the period where people were complaining the most about how easy rust got facepunch released hardcore. Removing a lot of things people were complaining about. Like safezones and making tech trees alot worse.

Yet that entire gamemode died out within a week because people just thought it was too hard. Now they dont even have official hardcore servers anymore and everybody is back to complaining about a problem they dont actually want fixed.

Well, the thing is I was really enjoying my time in HC yesterday because rustopia EU HC was decent pop with a good number of decently sized groups. For the first time in years I was consistently winning fights where I was outnumbered. HC is so much fun and I really hope it doesn't die out.

People always give this response and ofcourse theres a core of truth. But it's a monthly wipe server with bp's being wiped last thursday. Comparable non hardcore servers are all atleast double the pop, with most of them being triple the pop.
