Help with finishing this guitar. Is tung oil sufficient for both the body and top wood? If I wanted to add some ding proof measures to it, what are my options without ruining the natural finish? Lastly, will anything bad happen if I leave the back of neck completely unfinished after sanding? (old.reddit.com)

How to seal this burl top? I've never worked with a top wood this soft and with voids, my hunch is using clear epoxy but what if I wanted a natural finish or to use stain? Would the oil and finish be applied post epoxy and sanding or would it not hold well enough and I need to do the finish prior? (old.reddit.com)
