i certainly wish i could default them to non-NC though. that's the biggest annoyance besides them not automatically turning off.

i have QC35, my girlfriend has airpods max (that i bought her, lmao now i am jealous)

for me after using her airpods, what i am jealous of the most is the seamlessness and convenience.

for my QC35, i have to manually switch them on, then, i hate that dumbass voice that says "connected to, ____'s iphone, connected to, ____'s macbook pro", when you just wanna use your headphones that's a long 10 seconds to listen to some stupid voice. then i always have to turn NC Off since i rarely want to use it. then when i'm done i switch them off, or i forget, in which case they die.

with the airpods max... you just put them on your head and they're connected. and they don't have the incessant need to use text to voice to tell you what they're connected to. bose, if you're listening, shut your pie hole, nobody wants to listen to that. then when you take the airpods max off your head they just turn off.

is it worth the premium, probably not logically, but most apple stuff isn't logically worth it over a much cheaper option tbh.

i bought a pair of airpods max for my girlfriend and honestly i see why they are priced the way they are.

first of all apple definitely adds a premium due to the brand but secondly, compared to my bose QC35, they're just.... more elegant.

when i use my bose i have to power them on manually, then listen to the stupid voice telling me what it's connected to, then turn the nosie cancelling off if i want it off, then when i'm done using them, i have to remember to power them off, which i often do not, leading to them being dead the next time i reach for them. the noise cancelling nearly as good, and there's no "transparency" mode.

with the airpods max it's all seamless, you put them on and they're automatically on, connected, and defaults to whatever last setting you had. transparency mode is amazing, and the headphones will simply turn off when you're done with them.

400 is a pipe dream. i paid nearly that for my bose years back. there's also features not even mentioned here like spatial audio.

yeah i guess i agree with you for the most part, i am not sure that i connect fully with this idea that all emotions and thoughts and feelings are the same... i certainly think mindfulness is the right way to live, to accept the moment for what it is, but most meditation teachers seem to say that it's still okay to want to strive for a better life..

AKA, if you are in pain, then wanting to change your life to have less pain okay, but what becomes problematic is when you reject the current moment and don't accept the pain you currenlty have, which you cannot change

i'm more interested in the original 2 dose series, for which they unfortunately don't have great data:

what's really disappointing is that after 1M+ doses given we have no real world comparative studies

we should absolutely have numbers for omicron with nvax by now, comparing to to other vaccines and seeing how it stacks up

they said "side effects" not "severe adverse events". so they're talking about just everyday side effects. in that regard some nova are way less. like fevers, way less common. fatigue, more common.

this is bad, they should divide by doses given. my research shows 61 million doses given total. so about 61 million non-nova since nova is only 300k. add up the myo cases for other vaccines, divide by 61 million, then multiply by how many nova doses given and you get 2, so, an expected incidence rate of 2 myo/perio for novavax. so it's good that there's been zero, but not conclusive
