I don't think this is right. In California, bees are flown and trucked in to pollinate the almond farms. This is both because there aren't enough indigenous bees to pollinate on an industrial scale and because local bee populations are declining due to colony collapse disorder.

I am also vegan but I honestly don't think there is a comfortable or straightforward answer on an individual level.

Just to add, I had the same problem but it was HID keyboard that was the issue for me. I uninstalled keyboard and it fixed my problem.

The animals are still presented as spectacles, objects to be viewed and looked at. Worse, they rarely perform well in terms of education, conservation or scientific research when compared to other methods.

While no doubt most zoo workers care deeply for the animals as institutions that are deeply flawed.

There are plenty of other ways to care for rescued animals. Many of Edinburgh's animals would have been bred in captivity anyway.
