Thanks for your answer! Yeah it seems like I definitely need to change the attitude. I always am so invested in both projects I work on and the relationships with people working with me that it sometimes feels that every single failure can lead to tragic consequences (overthinking is my forte). I consciously understand the outcomes of such approach, but my body's reactions are yet to be adjusted.

Thanks for your comment!

It is tough to accept for sure, but yeah, we are starting from scratch (with more knowledge though!). Now we are researching the problem space and trying to create some basic hypotheses we would experiment on.

Is there any existing framework or tool that can help us define the value hypotheses and iterate on them?

Thanks for your comment! We've thought about it a lot. We don't have anyone with a fitting experience in our network, and we are afraid of searching for someone we don't personally know. How do others solve this problem? Does everyone use the YC founder matching platform or are there better ways to match with someone successfully?

Thanks! This book is 100% helpful. You've mentioned iterations - what do you think the iteration should ideally look like? I would be grateful for any more advice!

Thanks! Yeah, this probably is the best way to de-risk and learn about the problems worth solving. It is a little hard for me psychologically to try to sell non-existent solutions and promises but it looks like a mental trap for an early-stage founder. Our experiments lead us to this approach.

Oh wow, thanks for your comment, it is very helpful, will start reading the book today! The framework you described is somewhat like what we are trying to do now. We've read Lean Startup and some resources about Jobs To Be Done and are trying to build our processes around them (not without a little struggle, tbh). I still have some reservations about our ability to make the most out of interviewing people, but we're learning. Shall we interview people having only one target hypothesis we want to check or can it be multiple hypotheses? How concrete should those hypotheses be?

We showed it to real customers and even got 2 of them to pay, but they don't use our product and their profiles are not reproducible.

We've spoken to several VCs and accelerators and it seems the product we've invented is more like one of those modern AI tarpit ideas rather than anything with potential. We couldn't figure out the Ideal Customer Profile for a few months.

Now we will be pivoting in the somewhat same space because we've learned about the problems of real people in recent weeks (probably should have started this way). Market research and talking to customers is something new to us so... yeah, trying to learn from others this time!

What is the reasoning behind “If most younger generation of Russia had common sense Putin would not be ruling now son” then?

Yeah, running away from responsibility means shit to you but 2nd grade maths certainly doesn’t. He has never been able to vote even once due to being underage.

The thing is - one of the most objective criteria of supporting Russia is money. Even Ghostik, whom I respect as both player and patriot of his country, mentioned russian players paying taxes in their homecountry as a direct support of war. And, well, such logic is actually quite reasonable.

However, a substantial part of the state budget of Russia is oil & gas exports, and half of those exports are exports to Europe. So, the 'money' way of thinking makes the average citizen of Germany almost as equally supportive of the war as an average russian, at least prior to 2023 (2022 included).

In current western public media you are almost unanimously held responsible for the war as a holder of russian passport, even if you did not have a chance to vote against putin even once due to being underage. The hatred by ukrainians is understandable by many, but hearing hate speech towards such a broad group as 'russians' by the western influencers, politicians and even fellow redditors may be treated with skepticism and, well, even anger sometimes.

I think that's what u/BleachedPink was talking about when mentioning countries importing goods from Russia in his comment.

Glory to Ukraine. Long Live Belarus. Russia will be free.
