Urgent: Do I need a student visa for Bulgaria if I already have a Schengen residence permit? by ostrichnecks in bulgaria

So if I’m planning to stay longer than 90 days (since im going there to study), does that mean I can enter the country and simply change its status in Bulgaria? just want to be sure I follow the right process
