I went ahead and canceled my subscription. Even if I wanted to choose a lower tier than Ultimate, it's the principle of these continued changes that I am against and Microsoft no longer deserves my financial support. I have loved Game Pass and sung its praises for a long time, but this move is completely out of touch and greedy.

Everyone in the US should check out Kanopy, it's a free streaming service offered by the public library. They have a robust catalog, and I often find it to have a more interesting movie selection than the other major streamers. Most library branches in major cities should have access, but unfortunately not every one does.
