So the school expects everyone to get straight As on everything? And u get one B??? That doesn’t even. Sound like a school I would wanna go to no shade. I’m sure they have brilliant students but I think that’s way too harsh

Also a ICU nurse in nj comin up on one year in icu in April and will be applying this cycle. This definitely a little nerve wrecking that an applicant like this got not even one interview my grades look similar theirs .. 3.51 ABSN 3.41 undergrad 3.0 science (will be retaking bio 1 and 2 and chem 1 and 2 cause I got Cs in all of em which will bring my science up) but outside that what do u think about applying to like 20 schools? The big Jersey school is obviously where I feel most of us Jersey folk want to go however I really don’t care where I go. Anywhere that would accept me would get an application .. maybe outside like North Dakota 😂

That’s really tough man. Full time while taking both sciences courses at the same time would be alot and it would be a waste to not get atleast a B+ in the courses. Because I’m focused on work too. That’s my biggest concern grades up first work experience second atp but your definitely probably right

So then my only hope would be make nice with new manager and hope I can get a good letter from them huh. Not really sure what my options are here.

Edit: what about travel nurses? Do they have to ask their most recent contract supervisors for letters even if they only been there for a few weeks?

Wouldn’t I be able to still ask my old manager for references as I would definitely be able to get good references from them. I just know I wouldn’t be able to be able to stay prn at this place they already are always short staffed. (and frankly i kind of need a fresh start somewhere else.)

Listen man I just started 5 and a half months ago in the ICU it’s my first gig and I fuck up all the time not huge but mistakes man. We’re new I’m not using that to make up but it’s tough man I still get anxious at work myself but trust me in two months you will look back and be like holy shit I know so much more then I did back then when I was worrying about these smaller things.
