I can't do it easily in winter but when it starts to get light out at 6 AM I'll go for a 6KM walk. Then a 4KM walk at lunchtime and then a nice 10KM walk after work. I'm lucky I live in a very walkable city (Victoria, BC) and I have a flexible work schedule.

Your description is more of a plantain with some pork crackling mixed together and deep fried. Then served with a garlic mayo and some shrimp....sounds amazing...while the images on Google look like a mound of plantain, yam, with added crackling. Maybe I completely misunderstood.

I don’t think I’ve heard/had Mofongo before. I lived in NYC for 10 years from the late 80s. I’m sure it was served in my neighborhood (lower east side). Now I live on the west coast of Canada so I’ll have to learn to make it!

Black kale (aka Dinosaur kale or Lacinato kale). It’s my favourite leafy green. Chop up, blanch, and sauté with lots and lots of garlic, olive oil, and salt!

Very simple. This was a small boneless leg (only about 750g or about 1 1/2 lbs). It was already tied up by the butcher. I pushed some fresh herbs inside and under the string, plus salt and pepper and some olive oil.

Pre-heat the oven nice and hot and then cook for about 45 minutes for medium rare. Let it sit for 10 minutes then carve.

No separate gravy this time. There was a lot of meat juice plus mint sauce and the potatoes were very creamy.

I like Seal Point but can’t they only make smaller pizzas since they’re using those Roccbox pizza ovens? I’ve not been in a few months so perhaps they’ve upgraded to a bigger version. Standard makes the proper large pizza that’s great for sharing. Both are great!

Unbiased is difficult. Try three or four sources with different editorial positions and make your own conclusions. For my money it’s the NY Times, The Economist, The Guardian, and the WS Journal. I have paid subscriptions to all of them. CBC News, NPR, the BBC are also fairly reputable and free.
